WHEREAS, Defendent Giuliani believes that he has legal defenses to this Complaint; and
WHEREAS, Defendent Giuliani is desirous to avoid unnecessary expenses in litigating what he believes to be unnecessary disputes; now
IT IS HEREBY STIPULATED...
Signed by Rudolph W. Giuliani on July 25, 2023.
So, he admits lying. It is in his words, signed by him. For those that have a problem with this, deal with it.
Read his written and signed statement. How does he then go out and claim he didn’t admit lying, which is exactly what he did. Unless he lied about that instead. Or maybe drunk vs sober?
Tough choice.
Oh, stop. As I said this morning to you that is not what this says. Instead of spending time gloating over incorrect assessments, try going to law school.
He’s just saying he isn’t going to fight it. Not admitting guilt. He feels it is a cheaper way to settle.
I am not gloating. Okay, I was one of many voices on FR that said Giuliani was bad choice by Trump when Trump made the choice. Yes, I said I TOLD YOU SO earlier today. But seriously, Giuliani has been bad news for Trump from Day One. Trump picked bad attorneys and it has hurt him, it lost him the stolen election in 2020. That is the problem I have with Giuliani and the others. I supported Trump, I was even an election observer, and it hurt to watch the election stolen. It hurt to see Trump pick bad attorneys, to skip paying for meaningful recounts, etc.
at least he could take the time to Google what “nolo” means
If you think for ONE SECOND that a single Democrat "judge" in the rigged areas was going to "see" vote fraud or ballot fraud, then you're not firing on all cylinders.
It was never going to happen. Didn't matter which lawyer argued the case.
BTW - that goes for the McCain stooges in Maricopa County, too.
; )
Why did you heavily edit his legal statement?
So now you are worried about Trump? I’m having a little trouble believing that, just sayin.
It reads in part that he says the statements he made were statements of fact.
Basically, I like Giuliani.
His lifetime achievements are immerse. But, he is quite old now, and because of his age, he is obviously slowing down.
Trump really needed somebody younger and more energetic. Especially when challenging election, time is of essence.
He explains what this legal document means in this short video. https://twitter.com/RudyGiuliani/status/1684307957419241474
That is not verbatim. See the attached document for a verbatim presentation of what was filed.
Admitting you made a false statement is not the same as admitting to lying, they are two different animals.
A false statement is a lie if he knew that the statement was false when he made the false statement. If he didn’t know the statement was false (i.e. in error) at the time of making the statement, it is NOT a lie.
Check the document he signed, and tell me how many times the words "lie, lied, and lying" are in it.
Yeah, right. False statement is not lying? Sure. Or, put another way, did that distinction you suggest work with your parents or your spouse? I doubt it.
Correct, it was verbatim excerpts. You can read the full text but it is the same content. Thank you for the correction.
