NBC ^ | July 26, 2023

Prosecutors told the judge no more charges are expected against the president's son.

Hunter Biden, the troubled second son of the president, has not pleaded guilty Wednesday to two federal misdemeanor counts for failing to pay taxes in 2017 and 2018 — as was expected as part of a deal reached with prosecutors — after a disagreement arose about a separate gun charge.

It wasn't clear if a deal couldn't still be reached on Wednesday, as lawyers huddled to see if a delay until early September would be needed.

Pappy “da big guy” would be proud as punch if the first person to go to prison under his new gun laws was his little drug addict. Well, maybe.

“Can pops pardon him?”

As long as he is alive and President.

It would be interesting to know if Joe could sign a pardon for crimes through today, but not publish it until after the election or his death, whichever comes first.

Outrageous that nothing was done to pursue him for information about his father.
This is totally corrupt.

So in jeopardy the court will throw out all charges and declare Hunter a pure angelic soul guilty of nothing.

Hunter's attorney backed out when they said they were going to get him on foreign agent charges.

It’s a miracle this piece of Turd is not yet in jail. Even better he resides at the White House. It almost seems like he’s getting special treatmemt!

I believe these are federal charges, so the answer is yes. So a smart move by Joe would be to wait until after the November 2024 election, then immediately pardon Hunter.

And that’s what stinks about the president’s pardon power. It’s a king-like power. No checks and balances. If I ever invent a Time Machine, I will mention this to the Founders.

Seems like Hunter would still be liable for state income taxes or charges if he lived in a income tax state.
