Vaccine Passports are one thing. We have seen how a totalitarian government could use them as we watched the ChiComs restrict the movement of their dissident citizens using it. They would undoubtedly do that here. No doubt. As currently implemented in Communist China, this affects your ability to cross a province or even city line, use public transportation, or check into a hotel. They used it to keep people from being able to go to demonstrations about their life savings eaten and lost by their completely hosed real estate sector, they only place they are allowed to actually invest, which many people did.
Another part of it is that using the Vaccine Passport, they could easily link that to your bank account in a heartbeat even without a digital currency. They link to it and then to your bank accounts, and you have to have enough cash on hand all the time. With a digital currency, they just put the stop on you period, turning off the valve at the source. So you can't buy food. Can't check into a hotel. Canât fix a flat tire. You can't buy anything. You won't be able to disappear. And you won't be able to go anywhere without being watched.
It is going to be interesting and depressing, to watch how they present digital currency to the public. These are the things they will say:
