OpenAI CEO Sam Altman’s cryptocurrency initiative featuring a global ID and hopes for Universal Basic Income (UBI) officially launched on Monday, according to the project’s website.
Worldcoin, a cryptocurrency project, is placing “orbs” around the globe that scan an individual’s irises to discern whether they are a human, and issues them a “World ID,” which is a “global digital passport,” according to its website. In order to acquire a “World ID,” customers must book an appointment to conduct an in-person eye scan using Worldcoin’s “orb,” which is a silver ball designed to “verify humanness and uniqueness in a secure and privacy-preserving way.”
During its beta period, Worldcoin reached 2 million users, and it is currently expanding its global orb deployment to 35 cities in 20 countries, Reuters reported. Additionally, people who register in some countries will get Worldcoin’s cryptocurrency token, WLD. Yet no one that supports it, mostly young leftists themselves, see the irony of a guy like Altman, who’s wealthy beyond imagination and lives the ultimate lifestyle of the rich and famous, who preaches this nonsense.
No different than the leftist that runs Google. I think his salary is in the range of $200mil a year.
Shouldn’t these frauds be living like the rest of us and giving their money away to those less fortunate?
What is interesting is that purchases are still being conducted with such as cash, checks and credit cards from many companies, and now the FedNow wants in, so every one of these will be competing with another.
Like all the other "virtual" currencies (which are not actual currencies), this WorldCoin will fluctuate in value, so on any given day.... Volatility, until the "collectively owned" entity collapses or is converted to profit-taking.

Since July 1 of this year, Florida no longer issues concealed carry permits, anyone legally allowed to purchase a firearm can carry without a permit.

Vaccine Passports are one thing. We have seen how a totalitarian government could use them as we watched the ChiComs restrict the movement of their dissident citizens using it. They would undoubtedly do that here. No doubt. As currently implemented in Communist China, this affects your ability to cross a province or even city line, use public transportation, or check into a hotel. They used it to keep people from being able to go to demonstrations about their life savings eaten and lost by their completely hosed real estate sector, they only place they are allowed to actually invest, which many people did.
Another part of it is that using the Vaccine Passport, they could easily link that to your bank account in a heartbeat even without a digital currency. They link to it and then to your bank accounts, and you have to have enough cash on hand all the time. With a digital currency, they just put the stop on you period, turning off the valve at the source. So you can't buy food. Can't check into a hotel. Can’t fix a flat tire. You can't buy anything. You won't be able to disappear. And you won't be able to go anywhere without being watched.
It is going to be interesting and depressing, to watch how they present digital currency to the public. These are the things they will say:

At this point, they despotic government have one of the most effective wedges ever invented to drive between people.
It will be more effective than religion. It will be more effective than education. It will be more effective than class. It will be more effective than simply having money. It will be more effective than skin color.
It will be more of a wedge than money, because it is total control of money.
Digital Currency is EVIL.
If we refuse to accept it, it will eventually go away.
