ST. PETERSBURG, July 23./TASS/. Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has said he is "starting to get tense with the Wagner group because they want to march on Warsaw".
"Maybe I shouldn't say it, but I will. The Wagner group has started to stress us: 'We want to go to the West. Let us go.' I said, why do you want to go to the West? 'Well to go on a tour to Warsaw, to Rzezow'," Lukashenko said at a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin...

Good one!
.
Empty bluster, only intended to intimidate the weakest elements of Western society.
Wagner turned over their heavy weapons already. How far will a few thousand light Infantry in trucks get on the open road, under NATO Air attack?
Give them a dozen sorties with attack helicopters, and then give the fly boys a long lunch afterward.
“…it’s these crazy mercenaries. “
is this about Westerners fighting for Ukraine ?
“Poland and Lithuania have the Russian enclave of Kaliningrad boxed in on the Baltic coast.”
You’re putting the cart before the horse. Russia was given Kaliningrad (Konigsberg) after WWII. Prior to that it was part of Prussia (specifically, East Prussia), which was part of the German Empire before WWI, and of the German Reich prior to and during WWII.
In other words, Russia WANTED Konigsberg, and it was given to Russia at Potsdam. So, Russia sreaching that it is “surrounded” is a joke, as that is what Russia opted for in 1945: It has been physically separated from Russian for generations.
Mute point, but a linguist would understand dialect variations from different Polish regions. Rodzice pochodzili z Konina i Riki. Żonaty w Kanadzie. Pozdrowienia ze słonecznej Florydy
Moi krewni pochodzili z Poznania.
Yup, well said!
That is the thought that kept running through my head as I read the original article and all the other articles on what has happened recently.
If the Wagner Group is thinking of invading a NATO country, where do they think they will get ammunition and logistic support? Certainly not from Moscow after they have burned their bridges with the march on Moscow. They can't think that NATO air power will not be used in extreme force against them and that all supply lines will be destroyed by NATO.
Poland is part of Russia, right?
Spoken like a true Neocon.
nickie, the stealth liberal.
The intricacies of Polish history would astound you.
Polonized version of Russian saying:

Stol Lot... nice chatting.
Do you know what the Górale are?
The highlanders, in the south of the country, especially around Zakopane, right?
