FYI:
Kaliningrad “enclave” is the principal base (Baltiysk/Pillau) for the Russian NAVY (Baltic Fleet plus land & air forces). The breakup of the USSR deprived Russian NAVY of all bases in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania, leaving Kaliningrad “enclave” as the fleet’s only ice-free naval outlet to the Baltic Sea. However, the Kaliningrad “enclave” is not contiguous with the national territory of Russia. Finnish gulf outlet isn’t ice-free.
Polish Army is very strong and ready. This is not September 1939...
