Why is Trump “on the hook” for the treason and criminality so widely used against him by organized crime inside the government?

I know that to be the case. I’ve known it for decades. And perhaps you did as well. So it’s not such a stretch to expect Trump to have been just as cautious.
Again, don’t get me wrong. It’s human nature to look at the positives, and ignore the negatives. We are, in general, optimistic beings. So I’m sure Trump took office expecting the best. That of course didn’t happen.
Is it Trump’s fault? To an extent, yes. That’s where the buck stops. But it’s really no big deal. Trump didn’t deliberately blunder into anything both stupid and horrible, like with LBJ and Vietnam.
With Trump nominating Bill Barr, Christopher Wray etc., it’s like Trump hired John Dillinger and Pretty Boy Floyd to be bank tellers.

well, wasn’t the major push for his administration to ‘Drain the Swamp’ that was Washington DC, the reason being that he knew full well how corrupted and bloated the entire federal apparatus is...?
