A transgender woman is suing a Manhattan yoga studio for $5 million because she was forced to use the men’s locker room.
It’s the third gender-identity discrimination lawsuit Ali Miles, who also goes by the name Dylan Miles, has filed in the city in 13 months — and could be part of a coming tsunami of trans-rights lawsuits targeting small businesses.
Miles claims to be in “the process of transitioning into [a] woman,” wearing women’s clothing and undergoing hormone therapies, according to court papers.
The Arizona native turned up at Hot Yoga Chelsea on West 27th Street on May 4 for a 5 p.m. class, according to Miles’ latest litigation.
Management barred Miles from the women’s locker room and bathrooms — but Miles went anyway, prompting an outcry from other women there, the filing claims.

“Trans bathroom and locker room claims could sock city businesses with litigation the same way the Americans with Disabilities Act has, one expert said.
The landmark federal bill is the impetus for hundreds of lawsuits, many in part stemming from apparent “professional plaintiffs” who file dozens of claims and pressure small businesses into paying cash settlements.”
Bush 1.0 with the Americans with Disabilities Act, and The Clean Air Act actually caused much more long term damage than anything BJ Clinton ever did.
Everything Clinton did has faded, but the ADA and Clean Air Act are causing new problems every single day !
They did NOT make him use the men’s locker room. He can change at home if he wants to. Or he can stay home.
Stop lying on FR
The Trump administration on Wednesday ended federal protection for transgender students that required schools to allow them to use bathrooms and locker rooms matching their gender identities, stepping into an emotional national issue.
The administration came down on the side of states’ rights, lifting federal guidelines that had been issued by the Obama administration. Without the Obama directive, it will be up to states and school districts to interpret federal anti-discrimination law and determine whether students should have access to restrooms in accordance with their expressed gender identity and not just their biological sex.

What he’s saying: In the video, Trump says he will push Congress to pass a law to ban gender-affirming care for minors nationwide.
Under his pledge, medical professionals who do provide gender-affirming care to youth would be cut off from Medicare and Medicaid, which serves as a major source of financial support for hospitals and physicians.
Teachers or school officials who “suggest to a child that they could be trapped in the wrong body” would face “severe consequences,” Trump added. That could take the form of civil rights penalties and loss of federal funds, NBC News reports.
During a weekend rally in Pickens, South Carolina, he repeatedly criticised sporting events letting trans women compete in female categories, before vowing to “keep men out of women’s sports”, Reuters reported.
Trump made similar comments in 2021, describing trans women as “biological males”.
Women should file a report with police and file a claim for indecent exposure. Let the police sort it out or end indecent exposure claims.
You asked: Please clarify.
Please see this short clip of a Trump interview saying trannys should be able to use the bathroom they are comfortable using.
The pronouns are evidently a big deal to those nut jobs. If everyone would stop the nonsense of referring to a man in women’s clothing using feminine pronouns it might bring this to a head. Why entertain a lunatics delusion?
You said: “Demoncrat’s are the one’s on the wrong side of this”
Sorry, you are on mistaken. Please see the following Trump interview segment for clarification:
Everyone is aware that Trump made those comments in 2016. At that point he was talking about people who passed, people who were crossdressing. He was saying that had gone on for years and no one knew. Like don’t ask don’t tell in the military. By late 2016 Trump knew more about the modern implications; he was initially naive about the evil that has since become commonplace.
Very early in his Presidency as I posted he rescinded the Obama policies that allowed trans people to use bathrooms other than those of their birth sex. He passed the power to States which is the proper approach. To post the disinformation and frankly deceptive posts that you have posted on this thread is lying, especially because links to information about this issue has been posted to you.
It is one thing to fight for your candidate or to dislike a candidate but it is immoral to lie and smear, or to craft a lie using outdated content out of context about anyone.
Please stop accusing me of lying on FR when I am not. I will never purposefully like on this site. Please see the following Trump interview to make things clear to you:
again I am not lying. Possible mistaken since you say Trumps position has evolved, which I will look into. Thanks for the additional info.
Reminds me of the California scam years ago. Guy in a wheel chair visits small businesses and then has his lawyer visit later demanding money (extortion) to keep from being sued.
Wow..forced? Did they hold his arms and make him take a shower?
Do you lack reading comprehension?
Your article is from 2016 as I posted above. Do a little research before you form an opinion & before you mislead people by posting outdated info that is only part of the story.
Trump is very vocal about no trans in woman’s sports, no transitioning kids, consequences for teachers & schools. ETC.
It has been part of his campaign platform since at least 1/23, I didn’t look back further since I know he crafted legislation against Obama policy in early 2017.
This is your article. It wasn’t even accurate then. It was sensationalized and out of context. As above Trump was envisioning the situation where someone had been privately passing and had no ill intent.
Trump: transgender people have right to choose bathroom – video The GuardianApr 21, 2016by NBC/Today show
Thank you for your openness to look into the issue.
That attitude is the hallmark of true discourse. If I have misjudged you I apologize.
Before Trump entered politics his ideas on transgender people were informed by his desire to be kind. He did not block a transgender woman from his beauty pageants, he did not want to embarrass people who had been crossdressing for years. He did not really have formed views and had not thought of schools, children being exposed & victimized.
By late 2016 he had been exposed to another aspect of the question, that of women being disadvantaged and unfairly cheated of sports medals, chances to compete and of people using transgender as a loophole to cheat and to sexually assault, or engage in voyeurism. He came into office and immediately removed the federal directives enforcing “bathroom choice”. He has come out consistently and forcefully ever since to protect children from surgery, chemical castration and from being influenced by schools & teachers. I believe he is well up to speed on the issue.
Thank you
Thank you for the info
If there’s a dangle twixt the angle a male it be, even if the dangle has been removed(a Dickectomy) the chromosomes if X and Why it’s still a guy. Mental illness does not a woman make of a man.
Allowing perverts to enter a women’s bathroom or locker room, have you ever heard anything so crazy? and yet its here and they are the rats protected class which puts the rats in the same seat, despicable humans in control
Do you honestly think that democrats are on the correct side of the transgender issue?
—I said they are the ones wrong on transgender. You say I’m mistaken.—
These businesses are kinda dumb. They are going to have to build a small bathroom/locker room/shower room for these disgusting trans-mutants. Tell them to go there and change. And to stay the hell out of the women’s locker room.
Or else be sued, which will cost them more, just in lawyers fees.
