“The protest on a private lot…”
Silly me. I thought trespassing was illegal.
L
Not bad idea - it is too small and fast growing to make cedar shakes, but it could make some nice furry rails for the local hippies to sit on as they are being ‘escorted’ out of town.
Other than that, it will make nice kindling for fireplaces.
If it is on tribal land, only the Feds can enter; if its on land the tribe claims, but is not part of their reservation, its theirs anyway. Whatever a Treaty Tribes claims is theirs by easy extension of existing laws. If there were more such trees, the courts would appoint a Special Master from the tribe to oversee any takings. You can watch, but you can do nothing legal.
Irrelevant. Whoever owns the land owns the problem. If the state won’t enforce trespassing laws, it’s up to the landowner to deal with it, whether or not the land happens to be up for sale.
WHO the HELL is moving to Seattle??? It WAS beautiful....now it’s a TOILET...a DANGEROUS TOILET!
Cut it down anyway. Give them 24 hours then crank up the saws. If they get “racheled”, oh well. Not like you’re gonna screw Seattle up any more by cutting down a tree. 😱
Of course........
The yahoos in the tree are the reason there will be no property development in Seattle because people are actually leaving yahoo land.
They have to come down one way or another.
The last time this happened, an activist slid down the tree after a long protest and got a large sliver near her “woo hoo”.
After a long wait in ER to have it removed she started making a ruckus yelling and all with much foul language, it was a painful injury.
The doctor was forced to come out and explain he was waiting for all the necessary permits to remove Old Growth from a public recreation area right next to a water sewer treatment plant.
Well...the local government ZONED this for HOUSING...I for one would not like to live near an old cedar. There are likely thousands of them around the PNW...sheesh.
And, of course, she’s wearing a mask cuz, you know, she COULD CATCH COVID AT ANY SECOND!
Which is why we use street signs. Advanced culture over a primitive culture.
Are you out there ferret from Oregon?
Cut it down anyway.
What’s with the masks?
Thats a pair of culls. Not worth hauling. The breather might generate income.
“The tree-huggers only want a solution someone else (the landowner in this case) pays for.”
Yup—the owners should take them to court and demand they be identified for the lawsuit. Seek compensation of a million dollars a day of delay.
YUP; cut the damn tree down and see if the “activist” bounces when he/she hits the pavement!
