From Wade v. Univ. of Michigan, decided yesterday by the Michigan Court of Appeals (Judges Mark Cavanagh and Deborah Servitto); the ban covered all university property, which I take it includes dorms and open spaces:
"In Bruen, the Court stated that it was "settled" that arms carrying could be prohibited consistent with the Second Amendment in locations that are "sensitive places." The Court explained that, although the historical record showed relatively few 18th and 19th century "sensitive places," such as legislative assemblies, polling places, and courthouses, there was no dispute regarding the lawfulness of prohibitions on carrying firearms in sensitive places such as schools and government buildings. The Court's statements indicate that, even though 18th and 19th century "sensitive places" were limited to legislative assemblies, polling places, and courthouses, laws prohibiting firearms in schools and other government buildings are nonetheless consistent with the Second Amendment. Thus, if the University is a school or government building, then Article X does not violate the Second Amendment…."

Will be the next shoot em’ place with a bunch of dead moonbat waannabees... Court is SO WRONG! I do not ask permission for a God given right.
My prediction is that Michigan will come close to out-california-ing California within five years.
They’re just a lower court it should be appealed to a court with competence
A much higher court
UoMich. needs well concealed carry to thwart the next Jihadi Attack.
Used to be that there was no U Popo, only Ann Arbor Police.
Michigan has a crappy economy, high taxes, and a corrupt Goobermint like California.
But Michigan has crappy cold weather too
Why live there?
“A much higher court
“
Yeah, the court of natural law...
RE: I do not ask permission for a God given right.
Well said, brother.
Spectacular beaches, cabins, lakes, and small towns up North.
Well on the way.
Many say Michigan is close to CA already with the new Michigan Constitutional Amendment safeguarding abortions (including any charges against an abortionist who by obvious malpractice causes the death of a woman.) And the abortion need only be performed by a health practitioner, not even a currently licensed MD!
No one can bring up legislation about abortions because this is in the constitution in Michigan now.
“But Michigan has crappy cold weather too”
The Great Lakes moderate the Winter temperatures to, generally, better than Minniesotah. The price however is clouds.
Until Witch Whitmer and her Nessel AG ilk are gone, the place is truly gone.
It’s better to be judged by twelve than carried by six.
It will have to go a long way. The Mi SC was the first thing they stole in Mi a few years ago which set up everything else.
Michigan. Another state at the mercy of a city. Much like Georgia, Pennsylvania, and Illinois. How do you go about freeing an entire state from a city?

I don’t know. My suggestion for Atlanta is to wall off the actual city and issue passports for those who want to venture off that Democrat-controlled plantation. They would have to state their reason for wandering into the land of the free and must return by a certain date unless they can prove they have “seen the light”.
How does a state secede from a city? The answer to that question will become important over the coming years.
I actually don’t mind this. Those downstaters and students from all over are scary.
Noticed a lot of local gang members, urban thugs and parolees checking the details of the ruling so they won’t violate the gun restrictions.
I see them putting on their glasses to make sure to read the signs “Gun Free Zone”.
And waiting for gun registration rules to be followed before picking up their new legally purchased weapons.
I am available for more fiction writing and can reached through FR.
High taxes?
