As the Director of National Intelligence is already a member of the Cabinet, why does the Director of Central Intelligence need to be a member of the Cabinet?

Why not make the Secretaries of the Army, Navy, and Air Force Cabinet members along with the Secretary of Defense?

Pace Oprah: “You get to be a Cabinet member, you get to be a Cabinet member, everybody gets to be a Cabinet member!”

We’ve turning being a member of the President’s Cabinet into a Participation Trophy.

EXCLUSIVE: CIA Director’s Former Think Tank Hired Experts From Nonprofits Controlled By Chinese Spy Agencies
Daily Caller ^ | 11/11/2022 | Philip Lenczycki

https://dailycaller.com/2022/11/11/cia-william-burns-carnegie-endowment-alex-joske-china/

An elite Washington, D.C., think tank has employed individuals who’ve worked for front groups controlled by Chinese spy agencies, a Daily Caller News Foundation investigation found.

The Carnegie Endowment for International Peace has employed over a dozen individuals who’ve worked in a range of capacities at China-based nonprofits set up or co-opted by Chinese intelligence agencies, including the Ministry of State Security (MSS) and the intel arm of the People’s Liberation Army.

These individuals have served as experts in various policy areas, including international relations, American politics and nuclear policy while working at both the think tank’s D.C. headquarters and at its Tsinghua University center in Beijing. Moreover, not only did Carnegie employ the majority of these experts while current CIA Director William Burns was president of the think tank, but, according to the nonprofit’s current records, Carnegie still employs individuals working for Chinese intelligence front groups.

China wants a seat at the table. He gets named right after Blinken and friends get back from Beijing?

No coincidence.

Burns’ former nonprofit the Carnegie Endowment has links to Tshinghua University in Beijing.

https://freebeacon.com/national-security/chinese-communist-party-funds-washington-think-tanks/

China and in certain instances has infringed upon—and potentially criminally violated—rights to freedoms of speech and association that are guaranteed to Americans and those protected by U.S. laws,” the report says.

“Despite the CCP’s candid discussion of its United Front strategy, the breadth and depth of this issue remain relatively unknown to U.S. policymakers.”

The report said the Johns Hopkins School of Advance International Studies, a major foreign policy education and analysis institute, has received funding from Tung Chee-hwa, a vice chairman of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, the party group that directs the United Front Work Department and includes a member of the Politburo Standing Committee, the collective dictatorship that rules China.

The funding for Johns Hopkins came from Tung’s non-profit group in Hong Kong, the China-U.S. Exchange Foundation, which is a registered Chinese agent.

In addition to Johns Hopkins, other think tanks funded by China and influential in American policy circles include the Brookings Institution, Atlantic Council, Center for American Progress, EastWest Institute, Carter Center, and the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace.

The Exchange Foundation is tied to Chinese government influence operations and uses the same public relations firm as the Chinese embassy.

oversee the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, earned a “Lenin scholarship” at Moscow State University in the late 1980s. The White House pulled Omarova’s nomination after Democratic senators said they would oppose her confirmation because of her support for ending the country’s reliance on fossil fuels. Omarova has said she wants to “starve” companies of money to invest in the fossil fuel industry.

Will Hild, the executive director of Consumers’ Research, expressed concerns over Chen, citing her education at “CCP training grounds.” He said her appointment is part of Biden’s effort to establish controversial “environmental, social, and governance” policies at federal agencies.

The White House did not respond to a request for comment.

oops... dropped the first part for some reason:

President Biden’s latest climate appointee studied at a Chinese Communist Party-controlled university that conducts research for the People’s Liberation Army.

Biden this week tapped Dr. Yue (Nina) Chen to serve as chief climate risk officer for the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, where she will develop “climate risk management frameworks for the federal banking system.” Chen earned her chemical engineering degree from Tsinghua University, which one think tank deems a “very high risk” because of its involvement in a “high level of defense research and alleged involvement in cyberattacks” on behalf of the Chinese military. Tsinghua conducts research on “artificial intelligence, air-to-air missiles, navigation technology, instrument science, and materials science,” according to the Australian Strategic Policy Institute.

Chen, who previously held a climate regulator position at the New York State Department of Financial Services, is a proponent of “environmental, social, and governance” guidelines, a socially progressive approach to investing known as ESG. Under ESG, investment managers and insurance companies gauge companies’ risk based on their commitment to progressive goals in the areas of diversity and climate change. Chen spoke at a panel last year on the topic of pressuring industries to “finally leave fossil fuels behind” and redirect their investments “toward solving the climate crisis.”

Chen is not the first Biden nominee for the bank regulator to have studied at a Communist-run university. Saule Omarova, whom Biden nominated last year to oversee the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, earned a “Lenin scholarship” at Moscow State University in the late 1980s

Another leaked email showed Bulger asking Hunter to introduce business partners Jonathan Li and Andy Lu to Tung Chee-hwa, a Chinese billionaire and former first chief executive of Hong Kong.
