Hi Sam Al baby here Im 63 went to the western Caribbean on a cruise we hike to a mayan ruins made the mistake of trying to keep up with the the tour kids and the tour guides it was well over 100 and humanity to match I works construction in so cal it was the most brutal i have ever been beat im blessed ti have made it home

Was reminded that California’s name translates to English as
Cali= Hot fornia=furnace. transparent—dry and hot. See the plant life that survives, sort of. Things like creosote bushes.

How could you dress like that, exert yourself, and expect to maintain life when the air is 121 and you are standing in the sun accumulating radiant heat?
If they’re like most State or National Park facilities, they’re pit toilets, and you’re lucky if there’s running water to wash your hands.
He might still be alive if he had followed that advice, that is why I said he must have been having mental issues, his bundling up wasn’t rational, and hiking under the sun when the air temp is already 121 degrees isn’t rational.
I grew up in the Palm Springs/Cathedral City area and was used to the head, sort of. Up to a 110 degrees was tolerable. Up to 120 degrees One needed extreme caution and anything over 120, forget it. I remember being on a Jeep trip Northeast of Desert Center years ago and we stopped one afternoon under a big Ironwood tree for the shade and rest. Checked our thermometer and it was 118 degrees. No way in Hell I could do that today.
