One issue does not eliminate the other. It is possible to have parallelism in life. I have to buy groceries, but I also need new tires. Same thing here.
Thanks, Phillip Klass. Government paid debunkers have to weigh in.
That would depend who is saying it. Most of the disclosure is coming from aerospace company employees and military retires from days of credibility. It is important to discern between truth and fiction. We'll be getting a mix.
I think they want to prohibit free speech on issues they don't approve of.
As the old saying goes, "When free speech is only permitted on certain issues...it isn't free speech."
You probably made a direct hit with that observation. Ridicule is the standard government way of dealing with this issue. Once sources come under pressure people who would like to listen scurry away for fear of being associated with government designated kooks.
In affect, the trolls on these threads are doing the work of the government, whether they know it or not.
Yep. I don't think they know it. Most of them are good Freepers.
That said, killing or discouraging free speech for any reason is disgusting. This is exactly what happened on Twitter before Musk bought it.
As you say, just doing the job of the Deep State to bring about a dictatorship and kill unapproved speech.
No. No, I will not. But I’m gonna support these congresscritters to make’em say it, then I’m gonna further support’em to tell where the my $$ is going.
Wherever the money is going, it’s not being accounted for. See the “Wilson memo” for background. Short version, in the ‘90s an Admiral at the Pentagon responsible for secret program budgets was trying to uncover some unaccountable expenses, and was told by a contractor’s reps to pound sand. He was told by peers at the Pentagon to shut up and take it.
Oh, I forgot, that was just a few years before Sec. Rumsfeld announced that the DOD had mislaid 2.3 TRILLION dollars.
“I’m starting to think those folks who are spamming UFO threads aren’t actually worried that people will be distracted or that they can’t manage more than one issue at a time.
I think they want to prohibit free speech on issues they don’t approve of.
As the old saying goes, “When free speech is only permitted on certain issues...it isn’t free speech.”
Absolutely right on the money.
Heard from a joint session of congress …… we need more Squirrels
Could easily believe individuals, even individuals in the government.
The capital “G” Government? Not so much.
Such blanketed cynicism indicates that we need a Civil War rather than spams in threads, don't you think? If there is nobody in Congress working for good, shouldn't you be spending your time building and stocking a deep shelter?
I agree with you on that point.
Mine was ready thirty years ago …… lol
Wise. Very wise.
Or do you just refuse any new information on a given subject because it "might" be a squirrel?
And who are you to decide?
It's just that people don't seem to realize that declaring some speech is a "squirrel" or a "distraction" is quite similar to what people on the left do when they declare something to be "hate speech."
Double Squirrel
Heheh. Right.
