A Wagner mercenary fighting in Ukraine had only a 1-in-5 chance of making it through unscathed, according to the latest figures.
The unverified numbers, posted on Telegram by several Wagner-affiliated channels, claim that in all operations from the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion up until the “capture of Bakhmut” on May 20:
· Wagner had 78,000 thousand fighters in total.
· 49,000 of these were convicts.
· 22,000 were killed.
· 40,000 wounded
This leave just 16,000 that made it through the fighting without being killed or injured.
The figures appear to have been released in response to Russian Ministry of Defense claims that 33,000 Wagner fighters had signed contracts with the Kremlin in the wake of the aborted coup attempt by the group’s chief, Yevgeny Prigozhin.

“This latest shovel full of disinfo “
So now the Wagners spread globo homo disinfo ?
Horrific. A true meat grinder and example of throwing away countless lives.
😂😂😂
No, no, no, I don’t believe that. So far out but still in the wheelhouse of many administration spinners here. I was just cobbling together much of what I’ve been told on FR. I didn’t think I needed the sarc. tag.

“They paid the toll.”
You mean +60k Wagnerites ?
I don’t know about Wagner or Russian killed/wounded statistics. I have watched unough combat medicine and field hospital video made by Ukranians that I have formed an opinion about the Ukraine soldiers. They and the medical staff do their best to keep spirits up, making jokes or expressing concern. A number have expressed the wish to get well and return to their units as quickly as possible. Perhaps there is some of that among the Wagners, but I very much doubt it exists to any degree among the Russian military. Some Ukraine soldiers mentioned being wounded several times, but rejoining their units with enthusiasm.
Ukrainians are fighting for Freedom, Family and Country.
These are the three basic elements necessary for a working, civilized society.
It gives Ukrainians an indestructible sense of righfulness. A moral high ground, something the Kremlin deep-staters are in complete lack of.
