Young Conservatives Want Trump

In a departure from his usual amusing — if not particularly insightful — posts, Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk recently retweeted the surprising results of a poll conducted at his Turning Point Action Conference.

Of the young conservatives surveyed, 95 percent supported ending American involvement in Ukraine — surpassing even their support for Donald Trump. Trump, however, still outperformed all the other presidential candidates, pulling a whopping 85 percent. (READ MORE: Pence Could Thaw ‘Frozen’ GOP Primary)

BREAKING: Donald Trump wins new straw poll with staggering 85.7% of the vote!

In some sense, these numbers stunned me. For years, I have heard young people gripe about the gerontocracy that has a vice-like grip on American political institutions and seats of power. And it’s not as if the Republican primary doesn’t have youthful options, such as Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, Trump’s main opponent for the GOP nomination. So why does Trump — an old, straight, white, vaguely Christian baby boomer — dominate the polls among the young?

So do old conservatives.

In fact, most CONSERVATIVES want Trump. It’s the RINOs and the “moderates” that are never-Trumpers.

All the more reason to make Rand his VP.

Vivek needs to win something. Even Obama walked into the senate ‘paying’ his dues.

"All the more reason to make Rand his VP."

No thanks. Rand turned-tail on January 6th, and changed his plans to reject Biden's electors, to accepting them. Marsha Blackburn did the same thing. I can't support them.

Awesome! He will still lose PA (Again).

His hand chosen candidate couldn’t even beat a brain-dead person in the last Senate race. The more things change, the more they stay the same.

"Only cuz we want to win for a change."

You can't guarantee a win for any Republican Presidential candidate with the unlimited voter fraud that Democrats and Republicans made the law of the land on January 6th.

I know. But why reward a guy who did nothing for four years to stop voter fraud? Why? Because he didn’t care as long as he won. As soon as he lost, then he took notice. Too late.

"I know. But why reward a guy who did nothing for four years to stop voter fraud?"

I think you were asleep in the aftermath of the 2020 election, nor are you aware that Trump, and others will likely be indicted for "trying to overthrow the election." The Supreme Court chose not to hear any of the lawsuits Trump or others brought forward, claiming they had no standing to do so.

If you want to point fingers at people who did nothing about voter fraud, point your finger at the Republicans, who after Fox News called Florida for Gore early, before the polls in The Panhandle had even closed, or the fact that Gore tried to overturn the election in Florida, in 2000, chose not to do anything about election reform in the ensuing 23 years, not even when they had a majority in both Houses of Congress. You seem to expect miracles from one man, when his own party chose to sit on their hands for 23 years and ignore the voter fraud that was going on in front of their eyes, not to mention how many times they stabbed him and us in the back during his 4 years in office.

Don't you realize that the GOP demanding an oath of loyalty to participate in the primary debates this time around is because Trump decided to run again, to try to regain the office that was clearly stolen from him? If Trump wasn't running that oath of loyalty would have never been created. What has the GOP done about voter fraud? Not a god damn thing, and there lies the problem. Republicans joined with Democrats on Jan. 6th, and sanctioned unlimited voter fraud, and that's why after 40+ years, I am no longer a registered Republican. The GOP doesn't respect any of us enough to even want to try to protect our ballots from voter fraud. I belong to no party, and that's where I will stay until I die.

And, how about this:

Executive Order on Imposing Certain Sanctions in the Event of Foreign Interference in a United States Election

And this Executive Order draft that was never signed:

Trump draft executive order would have authorized National Guard to seize voting machines

And of course the Jan. 6th committee used that unsigned document in their investigation.

They did this in 2016. Nothing new.

Trump ran in 2016, so tell me, was there ever a loyalty pledge required by the RNC prior to Trump running for President?

Well because we never had a democrat switch to republican a few months before running before. We hadn’t had a candidate give money to the Clinton’s before on a Republican ticket nor did we have the Clinton’s attend their wedding on the ticket before. They wanted protection that he was indeed a republican.

"Well because we never had a democrat switch to republican a few months before running before."

More lies and bullshit:

Born: Donald John Trump, June 14, 1946 (age 77) Queens, New York City, U.S.

Political party: Republican (1987–1999, 2009–2011, 2012–present)

Other political affiliations:
Reform (1999–2001)
Democratic (2001–2009)
Independent (2011–2012)

Try fact-checking yourself before throwing out $hit you simply make up. You should be embarrassed for your deceit.

Now attack Ronald Reagan who was a Democrat until 1962, then ran for Governor of California as a Republican a mere four years later in 1966. Was he good enough for you to run as a Republican Presidential candidate despite his long-time affiliation with the Democrat Party? You’ve got a hard-on for Trump, and your ignorance is on parade.

Oh for sure. Reagan Scored a big victory for abortion in California as governor. Gave amnesty to millions of illegals while president. We’re still feeling the effects of both of these dumb things he championed. Thanks.
