Jason Aldean’s new music video for his song “Try That In A Small Town,” with anti-riot lyrics that slam leftist policies, has skyrocketed to the number one spot on the iTunes chart amid backlash against the singer.
The 46-year-old country singer’s song hit the airwaves in May, but it wasn’t until he released a video for it on July 14 that the song started generating headlines claiming it was “racist,” “pro-lynching,” and more. Following the backlash, Country Music Television (CMT) pulled the singer’s music video and has yet to respond as to why. Aldean has hit back against the criticism, calling it “meritless” and “dangerous.”

The “backlash” is from butthurt lefties who don’t want to be reminded that they’re a neurotic minority whose days of bullying the rest of the country are coming to an end.

You just kinda have to ask yourself, who would actually be opposed to lyrics like these?
This song isn’t saying that it would target people from outside of a small town who enter it with ill will. It’s not identifying class or race. It could as easily be talking about correcting a local youth who is acting up in bad faith in a small town.
So why would it be wrong to respect the elderly, respect the police or to not commit crimes of violence and theft?
Who actually supports that? Who is doing the loud talking here?
That’s what I would ask.
Just like, I hope there are people out there with the resources doing a drill down on the motives for people who are criticizing a movie about human trafficking.
My interpretation ….. Try that in a small town and The Sound of Freedom being at #1 sends a message imho of We Are Prepared to Come After You
The video highlights leftists violence and values it as undesirable.

This outstanding song is proof that there is still hope for Country music. I’m praying that Toby Keith also gets well very soon and can get back in the fight. The worm is turning and the “woke jokes” are getting a good dose of good old AMERICAN reality.
