Russia is building a force of 100,000 soldiers to attack the northern sector of the frontline as Ukrainian commanders start to admit that their counter-offensive has stalled.

Col Serhi Cherevaty, a Ukrainian army spokesman, said that Russia had also ordered Storm-Z ex-convict battalions to prepare for battle and was firing more than 500 shells per day at Ukrainian forces around Kupyansk.

“The enemy has concentrated a very powerful group,” he said. “More than 100,000 personnel, more than 900 tanks, more than 550 artillery systems and 370 rocket salvo systems.”

Time for Zelensky to sign the cease fire with Russia. Ukraine simply does not have the manpower to keep up with Russia in a protracted conflict.

As long as the money flows, he will keep sending troops to die.

If the people of the Ukraine wanted the war to stop they can vote him out of office.

Time for the West to pressure Zelensky to sign the cease fire. As long as we're giving him arms and funds, we have influence over him.

Trump is 100% right on this. Same with Tucker Carlson.

The government in Kyiv is still standing. Ukraine is not landlocked due to their port in Odessa.

Russia will be isolated from the West for a while as long as they have the "occupied territories of Ukraine" in their control.

This troop disposition is hardly new. And if there is an offensive it won’t be “ON Kharkiv”… it will be AROUND Kharkiv.

Complete nonsense. Ukraine had a pre-war population of 40+ million people, and most men are still in the country.

"If the people of the Ukraine wanted the war to stop they can vote him out of office." I am sure they will cancel elections.

Wartime Elections in Ukraine Are Impossible

If elections were held, I am confident they would closely resemble our previous Presidential Election.

They don’t have elections there anymore and he banned parties that disagree with him. He called the elections off for the duration of the emergency which he decides when to call off.

Generally, when you are outmanned, outgunned, and don’t have air superiority, it is foolish to engage in a counteroffensive.

Russians already tried to encircle Kharkiv, it didn't go well for them.

Agree and just in time to test out those dual purpose cluster munitions, they work just as well on T-55s, T-34s and IS-2s

“Time for the West to pressure Zelensky to sign the cease fire.”

How do you sell that? When he signed the agreement in Turkey last year, Boris Johnson and DC vetoed it. Now you walk in the door and say sign it? He won’t trust you, and on top of that, we have broken our word to Russia so many times, there is no incentive to stop until all their goals are reached.

This is because the minute a ceasefire is signed, we will annex the Ukrainian rump state into NATO and arm it to the teeth and probably deploy NATO forces widely into it. So there is little incentive to stop right now.

For the establishment, five dead Ukrainian men for one dead Russian man is a good trade.

You are very skilled at providing completely unprovable or rubbish facts, stretch to cover nonsense positions - and saying them with such conviction! Congrats!

****************************************************************

If you recall (I do), they did that with a foolish low level of forces.

Even if NATO is doing nothing, my guess is that the Poles will send their military into Ukraine and they will defend the Ukrainian border next to Russia and Belarus as "peacekeepers".
