UPS guy and myself used to talk all the time at my last job. He used to say, I am going to stay with UPS until I can't walk. I am going to milk them for all the money and benefits I can get.. He was in his early 60s.
Been with USP since 1978.

The impact goes far beyond UPS.
That 30% cannot be picked up by the other carriers and sustain any kind of customer expectation.
All of it will overflow...like a clogged septic system.

What people don’t seem to realize is Amazon is a part of this problem. Amazon has their own drivers some places, other places use UPS contract drivers, who receive no benefits. Still others use UPS drivers, who drop off packages at the post offices to be delivered by USPS workers. In our area, these postal workers are also contract workers, who receive no benefits and don’t stay in the job more than a month or two.
