WHITEMARSH TOWNSHIP, Pa. - Emergency crews are responding to the scene of a train derailment in Montgomery County.
According to authorities, cars on a CSX Norfolk Southern train derailed in the area of Stenton Avenue, Flourtown Road and Joshua Road in Whitemarsh Township just after 5 a.m. on Monday.
Sources told FOX 29 that 15 to 20 cars believed to be carrying hazardous materials derailed in the area, prompting a Level 2 hazmat response. Police later said the only material leaking out of the train cars was silicone pellets, which pose no threat to the public.

However, the stats don’t state the severity of these derailments.

I think it is a result of DIE programs in which the most lazy and incompetent are hired rather than the more qualified and experienced candidates.

That’s great to know! Especially since I’ve been married to my husband for over 40 years. I’d hate for him to go “trans” and end up with bigger boobs than I have.
So it’s basically awareness being increased, not necessarily incidents increasing.
Also, I wonder is less is being shipped by rail:

See above-—I honestly don’t know what’s going on...Rodway spills are way up while toxic train spills seem to be down.
Are regulations shifting from train to truck? Are we making less chemicals in the USA? Is it safer and just being reported more?

Well i think there are 100,000 railroad workers now and there was a million in the 80’s. Still i think it’s sabotage. They run maintenance stuff along the line continuously. And i’ve seen the presidents car going by.
