Just look at the simple ObamaCare repeal bills the GOP Congress would routinely pass before 2017 when everyone knew Obama would never sign them into law … and compare them to the pathetic sh!t that went down once there was a Republican in the White House who would sign anything they put on his desk.
I’ve met some of these creatures. They play a typical Illinois Republican game. They really believe what they say to us in the primary. But they are more afraid of what the NYT thinks than of what their voters think.
And why did the Obamacare vote fail? Because of McCain.
And why was McCain so petulant and pissy that he voted that way? Trump had insulted him publicly about his military service, and he was getting payback.
I’m not giving McCain a pass; he was a small man who couldn’t overlook an insult, but Trump’s petty, nasty, PUBLIC criticism of McCain is the proximate cause of why Obamacare is still the law of the land.
Trump lost Georgia for the same reason—he just had to publicly berate Kemp for opening GA too soon, in his opinion, after lockdown. He couldn’t pick up the phone and call Kemp and ask, no, he has to take to Twitter and make a permanent enemy of a governor whose state votes he desperately needed, so Kemp looked the other way while Raffensberger aided the steal. Again, petty revenge on Kemp’s part, and Trump is likely facing indictment in Fulton Co. because of it.
What Trump still needs to learn is that he’s not the only politician with an outsized ego, and chastise in PRIVATE, for the love of God.
And there is absolutely no evidence that Trump has learned that vital lesson.
