The mass shooter who killed four people in a quiet Georgia neighborhood has been shot dead by the police.
Henry County Sheriff Reginald Scandrett confirmed to WSBTV that Andre Longmore, 40, was killed in a manhunt on Sunday afternoon.
A Henry County deputy and a Clayton County police officer were also injured in the shooting, but are said to be conscious.
The deputy, however, is being air lifted to a local hospital for treatment.
Police say Longmore opened fire on residents in the Dogwood Lakes division of Hampton, killing three men and one woman before he went on the run Saturday. The victims' identities have not been released.
At a news conference Saturday, Hampton Police Chief James Turner said detectives were investigating at least four crime scenes that are in close proximity to one another. He declined to discuss a possible motive.
The first call about the shooting came in around 10:45 am in the Dogwood Lakes subdivision of Hampton Hampton, a small city of about 8,000 resident about 30 miles from Atlanta, Georgia.
In that case, neighbor Frankie Worth said he heard a gunshot as he was reaching for his living room window to open the blinds to figure out how much yard work he could get done.
After he heard a gunshot, he said he ducked 'just for a second' then looked back out the window.

...gee.....wonder why there hasn’t been a whole lotta coverage of this tragic incident, especially in the main stream media.......do ya think it might be another case of black-on-black murders......naw, couldn’t be....this story will be buried before tonight’s moon is out....
barely a peep from anyone, black on black crime isn’t a big deal to the left, doesn’t fit the narrative..what are they going to do, demand the black criminals turn over their guns

It’s depends on whether you consider the subdivision as one location or several. If he went to different sides of the town or county to kill, he’d be more likely to be labeled a “spree killer,” a term that seems to be less fashionable now.

So much for the “all mass shooters are white” narrative. Nearly all of them are poc now. Or mentally ill trans.
Guns aren’t the problem. Shooters are the problem. The shooting stops when you kill them.
He won’t be shooting any additional victims now. There will not now be a “difficult” decision about choosing to prosecute the shooter.
