Republican Wisconsin lawmakers are demanding an investigation after a 10-year-old girl participated in a”Naked Bike Ride” event with the support of her parents.
Reps. Tom Tiffany and Scott Fitzgerald sent a letter to Attorney General Merrick Garland on Friday, demanding the FBI and Department of Justice look into the June 17, 2023, event and “leverage appropriate charge(s) on those responsible for endangering a child through the propagation of this obscene conduct.”
Over 150 people, including the child, exposed themselves publicly during the “World Naked Bike Ride” in Madison.
The letter explained that not only was the child exploited during the event, but there are now photos and videos of her online and on the devices of those in attendance.
“Those entrusted in the care and protection of this innocent child, consented, and condoned this harmful conduct and her indecent exposure. It is undisputable that indecent exposure is lewd conduct (obscenity) and is not protected speech,” the lawmakers wrote in the letter, which was obtained by The Daily Caller. “This cannot be allowed to happen, now or again, and request your cooperation in immediately investigating this flagrant violation of our child endangerment and obscenity laws.”
The lawmakers explained that obscenity laws must be enforced to protect children from this type of lewd conduct.
“As you know, the standard of what is harmful to minors may differ from the standard applied to adults,” the letter continued. “For good reason, these standards seek to protect minors from pornography, obscenity, and other material that may bring harm to them, and they must be enforced.”
The letter asserted, “The laissez-faire attitude of all parties, such as the organizer, the attendees, and the Wisconsin Attorney General, underscores the need for the federal government to intervene and act to protect our children from this perverse behavior.”
Rep. Tiffany told the Daily Caller that those who allowed this to occur should be held accountable.
“The world is in a very dark place when parents and event organizers allow a 10-year-old’s indecent exposure in a public bike ride,” Tiffany said. “It’s immoral, harmful, and obscene. Those who allowed it should be held accountable.”
The letter requested a response by Aug. 26, 2023.
Every adult person who knowingly participated in this with a minor child should be prosecuted. The parents should also lose custody / have parental rights revoked for this and any other children they have if in fact they supported / encouraged this kind of behavior and her doing this with grown adults.
But an appeal to Merrick Garland will end up trashed.
Biden is launching a Federal investigation...to find out why he wasn’t invited. :)
Forget it, Jake. It’s Madison.
Millstone. Rope. Body of water.
Some assembly required.
They sent this letter to Attorney General Merrick Garland?
I’m sure it’s probably filed by now. File 13.
The DemoSexTraffickerCrat Party.
If only we had a federal law enforcement agency that could look into the RICO aspects of the group that organized and paid for this the way they swung into action when they saw conservatives trying to raise money to build the wall.
And now we see why they HATE the Sound of Freedom.
The state closed Mazo Beach which was a public area, dunno where the Madison nudists hang out now.
Why doesn’t the gutless GOP in WisconSIN do something about it in their own state. Petitioning the Fed pervs in DC? Waste of time.
This is the sickness that every Democrat voter has infected our country with.
It will get worse if the decent people don’t stop it.
My thoughts exactly. This is what we get for turning our backs on God.
Well said.
“This is what we get for turning our backs on God.”
Yep. And I suspect it is only going to get worse over the next 18 months.
Agreed. This is different.
“I’m sure it’s probably filed by now. File 13.”
He is most likely looking for the pix even as we speak.
Pedojoe wants a sniff and to nuzzle.
What a lovely event that has to be. Why are they allowed at all?
