Former Vice President Mike Pence was jeered at a conservative gathering in Iowa on Friday after defending continued support from the United States to Ukraine as the war-torn country continues to fend off an invasion by Russia.
While being interviewed by conservative media personality Tucker Carlson at the Family Leadership Summit in Des Moines, Pence—who recently met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in Kyiv—pushed back on assertions that the U.S. should reduce its levels of military aid to Ukraine. The former vice president, who is seeking the 2024 Republican presidential nomination, even faced boos from the audience after committing that he would support the Ukrainian war effort if he's elected president.
"What I saw in Ukraine was evil. And I believe that it is in the interest of the United States of America to continue to give the Ukrainian military the resources that they need to repel the Russian invasion and restore their sovereignty," Pence said before being booed by some in the audience while some applause could also be heard.

Newsweek left out the part where Pence said, “that’s not my concern,” in reference to all the problems America has. This is why you cannot rely on the news. Listen to the actual speaker, not someone with an agenda. Time and again, I’ve heard fellow FReepers admit they have not seen Trump’s State of the Union, speeches, nor his speeches to NATO.
As he should be.
Why does he think he is relevant? He is only there because of what Trump did for him.
Pence was booed because he said that the issues that are going on in OUR country are “NOT his concern” at first I thought, OK, he is going to correct himself, but nope, he said it again that is why the schmuck was booed

I actually watched this as it occurred. I’m not telling any of you anything you didn’t already know when I say that Pence is useless, and I’m upset that I lost the 15-20 mins of my life that I did whilst listening to him speak. Douchebag, RINO, liar, hypocrite.
The headline is a lie which we can expect from Newsweek. He got booed because he showed more concern for not enough tanks sent to Ukraine than the dumpster fire Biden has made.
