The leader of Hollywood's most influential actors' union admitted her industry's devastating strike is partially fueled by fears thespians will be replaced by robots.
Fran Drescher shook her fists in anger as she slammed showbiz fat cats for failing to negotiate, which had earlier in the day led the SAG-AFRA union to join screenwriters on the picket line for the first time in more than six decades.
'I am shocked by the way the people that we have been in business are treating us,' the actress, best known for starring in 90s sitcom The Nanny, said at a news conference Thursday.
Talking to the Hollywood Reporter after her remarks, Drescher added that ominous technology is one of the key reasons behind the strike, because 'the digital age is cannibalizing us.'

"First of all , A.I. is a fancy thing. A.I. stands for "Artificial Intelligence".....

I am guessing a lot of those robots are better actresses than Fran Dresher, or the entire cast of Hollywood Knights/.

I thought Fran Drescher was galivanting with Kim Kardashian in Italy?

If the robots don’t try to lecture me about global warming and transgender rights, I’m all for the robots.

The SAG is going to have to form a RAG for the robots.

Sounds good but the Left would still program the robots to shoot their stupid mouths off.
To: DeathBeforeDishonor1
The robots could do a remake of A.I. and do a better job of it.

The robot in the White House doesn't bother her? Maybe she objects only to intelligent robots.

I’ve been expecting this to happen since CGI came on the scene.

after years of drivel, inferior movies and shows, sprinkled with their moralizing lectures from behind their gated homes, i have little sympathy. i do feel for the real workers now thrown out of work. the sooner they deal with the realities of the digital age the better. in the meantime i am happy to watch British tv /movies on Acorn and Britbox. i can exist for months re-viewing “Inspector Morse”...!!

The people in the movie business are worthless. I trust the entire entertainment business suffers.

IMHO she has little to worry about.
To this date robot engineers have still not been able to create an entertainment robot that can act as dreadfully as Fran Drescher
or one that can reproduce her whining, fingernails-on-a-chalkboard screech.
