As the southwestern United States endures an oppressive heat wave that has produced triple-digit temperatures in many areas this week, experts say records could soon fall.
Among them: the hottest temperature ever recorded on Earth.
The National Weather Service is forecasting a high temperature of 130 to 132 degrees in California’s Death Valley on Sunday.
If that occurs, it would “either tie or break [the] record for the hottest temperature reliably measured on Earth,” says Daniel Swain, a climate scientist at the University of California, Los Angeles.

A temperature of 134 degrees was recorded in Death Valley about 100 years ago, but I guess that wasn’t “reliably measured”.
Why did the glaciers melt?
The media are in overdrive for a little unseasonably warm weather, trying to milk it for everything they can. Phoenix recorded 122 in 1990 and we will be nowhere near that but you won’t know from reading the headlines.

I HAVE noticed that! I’ve always found that odd, too ... i suppose that hot summer and cold winters in the northern hemisphere must be caused by climate change, right?

I'm sorry if this has already been posted, but the highest recorded temperature for Death Vally is evidently 134.1 ˚F on 10 July 1913.

I don't think that we can ever know with certainty what the highest temperature on earth so far was.
I am in Palm Desert Ca. our temps will reach 118* this weekend!! It is 111* right now, I have been running around all day handing out ice cream to the workers in my community, JEEZE I don’t know how these guys work in these conditions BUT every damn day they are out there making my community beautiful!! I have to say there is NOT ONE white guy out there NOT ONE!! So when we complain about immigration I am looking at these guys day after day and wondering where the hell we would be without them!! They have been resurfacing the main pool here for 3 days now OMG I never realized the work to resurface a pool the WHOLE damn pool had to be jackhammered ALL of the cement hauled in wheelbarrows up to trucks in this heat, WHERE THE HELL are my neighbors bringing these poor workers something cool to snack on?? I went to the grocery store today and bought HUGE supplies ice cream stocked them in my freezer in the garage to give to the workers throughout the day!! They are not only resurfacing the MAIN pool they have dug up the entire community to improve electrical problems we were having, THEN there is the golf course they have to maintain and 5 other pools and landscaping for the entire area OMG when people say there are not WHITE guys that would do this work THEY ARE RIGHT!! I am in CA. so it is a completely different ballgame out here I KNOW in the Midwest there are plenty of WHITE farmers HOWEVER who are in their fields day after day harvesting their crops, taking care of their fields?? I have to tell you that after watching this in my community this summer in this heat my heart is breaking for these immigrants AND NO there is NOT A WHITE MAN who would do this work!! SORRY BUT THAT IS THE TRUTH!!!

In 2021 the all time record minimum recorded Antarctic temperature was - 99 degrees Celsius. CO2 was condensing out of the atmosphere.
When I was conceived my age was at a record low and when I die it will be at a record high as compared to my life average. As well, when I was conceived, I am sure my temperature
was at an all-time record high, and when I die it will be at an all-time record low!

Satellite data has literally trillions of data points. It shows no global warming since they have been recording the data. The data did not fit the global warming narrative. But that is not a problem. NOAA decided there was errors in the data and simply "adjusted" the data. They lied.
I forgot to mention that I asked these guys what they were paid an hour they START at $25.00 an hour AND NOT ONE WHITE GUY out there!!!
After they feed the real data into their models, POOF - whatever they want!
