As the UK Covid inquiry continues, we must not forget lockdowns failed and destroyed the lives of millions..
America stands for freedom, yet we had one of the most acquiescent populations in the world during the pandemic.
There were protests about the lockdowns, if you remember, in the UK, in Spain, in Italy, in France, in Germany and in the Netherlands.
Generally speaking in America there was a shocking lack of pushback.
America is the beacon of freedom in the world and if America does not push for freedom, it’s over; Not just in the US, it’s over everywhere.
The contrast is with China.

Most worrying of all, the people in power are liable to use their power to lock down people again.

Scientists, real ones, incorporate the Scientific Method in the analyses of their observations.

Agreed! And I was one of them that got snookered. Although it did help me get prepared weeks before anyone else so I was sitting at home while the rest cleared outthe shelves of toilet paper and other essentials.
While I did wear a N95 mask, it didn’t bother me if my wife or kids weren’t as diligent. (Although I was the only one in the family not to get it.) None of us got the vax.
I just saw a recent video out of China with one of those trucks that they said was blowing out disinfectant during the pandemic. They are actually just blowing out water vapor for the air particulates to attach to in an effort to remove the haze from city blocks. What a crappy country!
I think they used the propaganda in their own people too. IIRC there was some unrest going on at the time. They did shut down if those phone gps apps can be trusted. They showed very little traffic for months and months.
The Covid shutdowns are probably similar to the efforts by FDR and the New Deal. They will be touted as saving us, but in reality extended the suffering, and gave the government more power to rule over us.
