Prince William believes you can have zero homelessness and he’s using Finland as a case study.
The Prince of Wales is launching a five-year, locally led plan in six flagship locations around the UK that will demonstrate it is possible to end homelessness, Kensington Palace announced on Monday.
The program, “Homewards,” will bring together “an unprecedented network of organisations and individuals,” tapping into their collective expertise to “create and deliver a tailored plan to prevent homelessness in their areas,” the palace said.
It will provide up to £500,000 ($637,000) of flexible seed funding in each of the six locations – which will be announced later this week – to support projects, and findings from the program will be used to create a model that can be used elsewhere across the UK and internationally.
“In a modern and progressive society, everyone should have a safe and secure home, be treated with dignity and given the support they need,” the Prince of Wales said in a statement Monday, marking the launch of his first big initiative as heir to the throne.

First - it doesn't matter. Keep the streets clean and safe. That is the MOST BASIC responsibility of any government, and the USA is failing at it, badly.
Second - serious enforcement of vagrancy (with the threat of being sent to CCC style camps far in the country to serve their terms) would motivate at least 80% of homeless to find someplace/anyplace to live.
Exactly what I was thinking. They wouldn’t survive the winter.
I spent a week in Helsinki a couple of years ago. I would agree vagrancy is handled differently there. Also, you don’t find any drug culture. I think the weather also impacts people...they don’t hang out on the street corners.
this is great!! Now do karens! After that he’ll work on eliminatimg illegal drugs.
For that you need a lack of diversity, and you need to keep the drugs out.
In other words it hands out half a million slush fund to liberal ideologs to dream up their fantasy socialist paradise living structure, which they can foist upon the world.
Half a million is not enough to actually build or house one single person, when you deduct the 70% overheard for the government to 'administer the program'
Fewer than 6 million population, all white, socialist health care, ample abortions, and happy pills for everyone?…
Nuff said about Willy.
How is vagrency handled differently?
It’s cold in Finland. People go indoors or die.
“It’s cold in Finland. People go indoors or die.”
Homelessness has become a huge problem in Alaska, I’ve heard. Even when I lived there in the ‘70s & ‘80s, there was homelessness.
While clearly fully on board with “The Firm’s”, King Charles-backed, WEF/UN depopulationist activities.
Who’s going to live as homeless in a country part way into the Arctic Circle?
What an idiot.
If he is so concerned about homeless Brits, why has the cat got his tongue with regard to uncontrolled illegal immigration into the UK...?
Long-term international migration, provisional: year ending December 2022
...In 2022, long-term immigration into the UK was an estimated 1.2 million. This is an estimated increase of 221,000 compared with 2021 (942,000). This 2021 figure has been revised upwards (from 895,000 to 942,000)...
Holy merde.
Oh, Willy...
My impression....there’s no law to prevent vagrancy, but the police tend see the individual just loitering around, and then start asking questions. If you show alcohol or drug issues...you get picked-up and taken to the station. If you seem a bit unbalanced, you get a ride to a clinic to be examined. I’d just say they are more proactive than anyplace I’ve ever been.
I didn’t see the tail end of this but I would imagine there’s some fenced-in facility where you might remain a couple of weeks or months.
15 minute cities. Perhaps he and his family should live in one of these to show how great they are.
Finland has a small, educated, and low-crime white population, you can’t compare that to the British or American populations.
