Trump says Biden ‘dragging’ US ‘into World War III’ by sending Ukraine cluster bombs
The Hill via Yahoo ^ | July 11th, 2023 | Sarah Fortinsky

Former President Trump ripped President Biden for his decision to send Ukraine cluster bombs and claimed Biden was “dragging” the United States “into World War III” by making the controversial decision.

“Joe Biden should not be dragging us further toward World War III by sending cluster munitions to Ukraine—he should be trying to END the war and stop the horrific death and destruction being caused by an incompetent administration. These unexploded cluster munitions will be killing and maiming innocent Ukrainian men, women, and children for decades to come, long after the war—we pray—has ended,” Trump said in a statement Tuesday.

Biden announced last week his decision to send cluster munitions to Ukraine and has received criticism from factions of both parties as a result.

Biden has said it was a difficult, but necessary, decision to make in light of the rapidly depleting stockpiles of unitary munitions — in Ukraine and around the world. Some allies who have hesitated to fully back the decision have still stressed the importance of the agreement with Ukraine to minimize civilian risk.

Western Ukraine was part of Poland from 1919-1939, and part of Austria before that for hundreds of years.

The people whose “homeland” that is are not the same people who live in Kiev, or the Donbass, or Crimea, or Odessa.

I’m surprised that the Russian government does not renounce Stalin’s annexations as an easy way to end this disaster.

“A multitude of millions have made that observation. It is not a Trump discovery”

Perhaps, but the President (Trump) is the only one that 4eally matters because he is the only man on this planet who can bring peace and he will do it quickly.

We have these evil weapons in our stockpile because we have evil men in the MIC making the decisions to use them. NEVER assume just because it’s a policy from DC that it can’t be evil.

Joe Biden lives in a delusion...that he is FDR and Putin is Hitler...

The Biden-FDR part is not in play. FDR and the rest of the world did nothing for years while Hitler directed Germany to ignore the restraints placed on it as a result of WWI (apart from preparing domestically for WWII, that is). No action was taken with regard to specifically restraining Hitler's agenda prior to the opening days of the war.

While the circumstances then are a bit different than those now, the action that was indicated then is almost certainly the action that would be warranted today.

Any other action, such as the cluster bombs Biden's handlers have introduced, will be misdirected, ineffective and even counterproductive. Counterproductive in a way similar to defunding local police departments in order to correct LEO behavior perceived to be inappropriate.

Ukraine has been a basket case since 2014, why do you continue to defend this failed state?

Funny, 2014 is also the same date, when Putin first sent troops into Ukraine.

Reality check, Ukraine has been fighting a war against russia since 2014, which includes the Trump's Presidency.

Russia-Ukraine War, war between Russia and Ukraine that began in February 2014 with the covert invasion of the Ukrainian autonomous republic of Crimea by disguised Russian troops. The conflict expanded in April 2014 when Russians and local proxy forces seized territory in Ukraine’s Donbas region; over the next seven years, more than 14,000 people would be killed in fighting in eastern Ukraine.

“If cluster munitions are so evil, why do we have them in our stockpile? “

Because they work.

Especially the BIG ones...

Do our cluster munitions self destruct (SD) after a set period of time?

I’m pretty sure Russia will stop at the Dnieper because they don’t want to occupy a bunch of angry Ukrainians. They just want the ethnic Russians.

The ill-gotten spoils from the shameful Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact. They don’t belong to Russia now.

Ronnie does not have to wait to give his opinion on Cluster Bombs.
It’s not a complicated issue.

Funny thing, you control a country like Ukraine was by Soviet Union for decades, you deport, exile, imprison, murder much of the indigenous people, then your people swoop in and take their place and you do this for decades later you say
We are invading to protect ethnic russians.

Nice party trick
