Long before Anthony Fauci, Ralph Baric, Peter Daszak of EcoHealth Alliance and the "Bat Lady" Shi Zhengli were in the Covid 19 news, Tong Zeng, a Chinese human rights activist (who was famous for asking for World War II reparations from Japan), suggested, in effect, that SARS 2003 was a laboratory creation that was genetically targeted at Han people. This was in his 2003 book "The last line of defense: the Chinese gene loss".
"Everyone is entitled to their own opinions, but not their own facts", declared the late U.S. Senator from New York, Daniel Patrick Moynihan.
But peoples' beliefs are a kind of "fact" in themselves.
It was reported in Free Republic that it is widely believed in Asian organized crime, that SARS 2003 was a biological warfare attack directed against Asians.
One indisputable fact is that there are news articles from the time about anti-Asian prejudice because they were liable to suffer SARS infection. tinyurl.com/yc5zf6fz
Now news is coming out that school children all across China are being taught to use imitation military weapons to attack foreign enemies, to wear uniforms and give military salutes. tinyurl.com/3v4rkk2x
A similar pattern prevailed in World War II Japan, when virtually the entire civilian population was militarized, so that any U.S. military invasion of mainland Japan was envisioned to be an extremely bloody war of attrition, so that the entire population would be expected to sacrifice itself to death. nationalww2museum.org/war/articles/there-are-no-civilians-japan
At issue in today's militarization of China, is that they have a long list of grievances. China's double-back from its agreement with Britain about the handover of Hong Kong, has to be viewed through the lens of the Opium Wars 1839-1860. (There are no Chinese cultural characteristics that make them prone to opium use or addiction, despite Hollywood stereotypes. It was forced upon them by Britain, despite resolute Chinese resistance. They have a long memory.)
What could China have against America, that they would express in their current drive to war? Try an historical incident called the Yangtze River Patrols 1854-1949 -- apparently only ended by the Communist takeover. The background is effectively shown in a 1966 movie "Sand Pebbles" with Steve McQueen.
Much more recent, is the Chinese perception, in the wake of SARS 2003, that we were using them as a biological warfare laboratory. "SARS might be produced in a laboratory or a genetic weapon aimed at the Chinese", wrote Tong Zen in his book "The last line of defense: the Chinese gene loss".
Regardless of the objective facts, could this belief be part of the causus belli, a cause behind China's coming war with the U.S.?
interesting
Even if true, they more than got even by unleashing the Covid 19 pandemic on the world and installing a puppet regime in Washington, DC.
It’s “casus belli.”
A few years ago there was a poster on this site who apparently was in China and showcased alll the wonderful things going on in Red China. Something like’Metallic Man’?? may have been his screen name.
Anyway, at the time of the Wuhan outbreak, he was floating the idea that according to the Red Chinese, not only were we responsible for Wuhan, but also viruses that were wiping out Chinese poultry and pigs. He implied that the Chinese would strike back in kind.
OK, stop flapping your gums and lets get at it.
The government of China is run by bloodthirsty tyrannical communists.
Who cares what they think?
The people in charge absolutely want to defeat us and rule over us, so what difference does a phony causus belli make?
