Former President Donald Trump criticized Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds (R) after the governor appeared alongside Casey DeSantis for a “Mamas for DeSantis” event, casting doubt on her supposed neutrality in the race.
Trump said in a Truth Social post on Monday:
I love Iowa, protected & expanded Ethanol, got 28 Billion Dollars from China for our great Farmers, ended the Estate (Death!) Tax on farms, made the best TRADE deals in history (USMCA, China, & many more), introduced the World to our FARMERS, & kept Iowa’s ‘First in the Nation’ status.
“I opened up the Governor position for Kim Reynolds, & when she fell behind, I ENDORSED her, did big Rallies, & she won. Now, she wants to remain ‘NEUTRAL.’ I don’t invite her to events! DeSanctus down 45 points!” he exclaimed.
It is true that Reynolds has yet to officially endorse a candidate and has said she will not do so until after the Iowa caucus.

Disagree. Most modern engines do not run well on Ethanol and run much better on actual gasoline. In fact, I have to use a premium grade of gas or my 4Runner starts throwing check engine lights that the injector packs are failing.
Thank God the Indians around here sell Ethanol free fuel.
The sooner we can end this subsidy, the better the country and the world will be when corn growers turn to a more useful crop to grow.
Everyone benefits by ending these subsidies.
There’s an issue looming that is bigger than ethanol: Globalism and by extension environmentalism.
Any red-blooded farmer who bets against Trump is a fool. He’s the surest advocate they have.
What year is your 4runner? I had a 94 Toyota P/up that hated the stuff. I have an 03 GMC that does just fine with it. I have a 4 y/o riding mower, just fine. I have a 20+ y/o wheeled weed eater that hates it. 20 years ago, you had a chance to kill ethanol. Anyone who stumps on killing ethanol today is on a fools errand. Corn grown for ethanol is a guaranteed crop to market. What are you going to replace that with?
I’m not concerned, I never expected to agree with every position taken by my favorite candidate.
As Drew posted, DeSantis is against ethanol subsidies, so he’s dead in farm states. I’ll give you some props, we were on active duty during the same time frame.
I can’t vote for Trump..he’s not 100% right on every issue.
