I am a normal 63 year old male. I have a condition, resulting from having spent weeks walking (often, up and down) many, many steps weeks on end while vacationing in Europe with inadequate shoes. It has led to something (I suspect arthritis) that has caused a bit of swelling and numbness in the area around and under the knuckles of both feet.
This is an annoying, but not in any way a seriously debilitating, condition. It does affect my gait, but only when walking down stairs. Fear of missing a step and taking a tumble because of the numbness causes me to employ “old man steps,” where I take stairs—especially stairs I am not used to—one step at a time. Because I am not interested in falling and breaking my hip (a big risk as one ages) or worse.
Watching Trump walk down those stairs, it looks like he may have a similar issue.
On the other hand, it does appear to me that the pre-recorded video of Biden’s speech has been computer manipulated. I don’t think a person could get through such a speech blinking so infrequently, even if they were trying hard to do so.
I do that “old man steps” thing due to one knee being unable to take the strain of the weight on a step. Never heard the term and will have to think about it now.

I am exactly Trump’s age (within a few days in 1946) and know wear and tear takes its toll.
