All I did was call them “Putinistas,” which was not an insult by any stretch. Followers of Juan Domingo and Eva Peron were called Peronistas. Followers of Ross Perot were called Perotistas.

Furthermore, to make an ad hominem attack, the object of said attack first has to say something. For example, if you say “the election was stolen,” and a Bidenista counters with “you’re an Ultra-MAGA right-wing extremist,” instead of discussing the evidence pro and con and critiquing the proposition that it was stolen, that, sirrah (Elizabethan diminutive of “sir,” but Chris is probably not going to get it), is an ad hominem attack, even though I am in fact an ultra-MAGA right-wing extremist as alleged. But if a gentleman of color makes an argument and in response you use the N-Word, even though it fits, that, too, is an ad hominem.

But calling me a “clown,” now that’s intended as an insult by every standard, but I’m not in the least clown-a-phobic, so I do not consent to taking it as an insult (JFK reference). So I’m into the car with fifteen other “clowns,” and awaaaaay I go! (Jackie Gleason reference, for those of you in Rio Linda [Rush Limbaugh reference])
