GOP presidential candidate Doug Burgum says he wouldn't do business with Trump (Doug McRomBush)

North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum has said he would vote for Donald Trump again as president, but draws the line at ever conducting business with the man he's now running against for the Republican presidential nomination.

Burgum, a former business owner who turned a small software company into a $1.1 billion deal with Microsoft, was asked by "Meet the Press" host Chuck Todd in an interview that aired Sunday if he would do business with Trump.

"I don't think so," Burgum responded. Asked why, he said, "I just think that it’s important that you’re judged by the company you keep."

One person Burgum said he'd be comfortable doing business with is Elon Musk, the billionaire owner of Twitter and Tesla.

Asked what the difference was between Musk and Trump, Burgum said: "Just look at business track records is what I would say, and that’s what I would take a peek at before I would make a decision about who you partner with."

That’s okay Doug, President Trump gets his groceries delivered by Publix so he’s covered. What else can you do?

10 years ago, the answer would have been different, today, if you do business with Trump, you could very well be the subject of an investigation and potential financial ruin.

Look at many of the people around Trump that have been charged with crimes, many financially ruined, and some even sent to jail.

Not very many people are willing to risk that.

These grifters with zero chance of winning declare their run for the presidency, trash Trump, collect dollars (sometimes a lot) from the gullible, and slither back into the swamp.

They do it because down the road they can pay the taxes and convert the donations into income.

As a bonus, their obituary will say ‘one-time candidate who ran against Trump’.

Despicable self-interest.

It sounds like Burgum is another Republican a President Trump would not be able to trust. Hopefully, if Trump is reelected, he will do what the Demented One did and fill his administration with lunatics and loose cannons instead of the treasonous bass tards he hired last time.

Theyre in entirely different sectors of business.

Doug wants to be Elon Musk..... but is not.

He knows he can never be Donald Trump.

Burgum is an idiot and the Republicans are stupid for constantly entertaining the idiocy of people like Chuck Todd. The correct answer would have been “What does that question have to do with anything and it’s quite dumb”. Trump is the only politician that puts these morons in their places.

He probably realizes that Trump would “TROUNCE” HIM.

Don’t blame him.
