Granted it was an AF base, but there were girls, some under-age, living for months in the barracks. Homestead...’80s.
Our USMC infantry unit was stuck on an AF base once for 2 days when our C-130 broke. We marched to the chow hall the next morning for breakfast. They actually asked how you wanted your eggs cooked, or if you wanted an omelet.... and nobody was even slightly abusive to us.
We were stunned. We had no idea some places in the US military treated people like human beings.
Barracks bunnies. I thought they were contractor cleaning employees until someone ‘splained it to me after one was taking a shower instead of cleaning the shower.
