My wife and I visited friends back in 2006 in Costa Mesa, CA. The gentleman was a retired Marine. He was wounded in Vietnam, retired due to his injuries.
He took us on a drive-thru tour of Camp Pendleton on the to a relative’s house in Falbrook. He drove up to the gate, showed his military ID, was saluted by the Marine at the gate and we were waved thru, no problem. There were places we couldn’t go, obviously, and we weren’t on the base for very long.
Wasn’t passing any judgement, just stating facts.
“Yeah...the only people I saw marching at Homestead were in correctional custody.”

They are still out there in AF world. I had a neighbor who was in whatever unit does the security grunt type work at missile silos and nuke storage. Flat out good when I saw him shoot. Very switched on.
And then a PJ. Just an absolute beast. Turned into a cop in a western state. Some doped up psycho with a knife soaked up 25 or 30 beanbag shotgun rounds. They released a dog on him next. He grabbed the police dog and was strangling it. They sent in the former PJ. I kid you not, took him down RIGHT NOW, empty handed with extreme prejudice. PJs are some truly unsung SF.

Correct. All it takes is an ID. Passengers are rarely IDd especially if escorted by an AD.
I am NOT justifying it or making light of it. But it isn’t the 1930s any more. Likely this 14 year old girl is more experienced than most freepers. You can hang the perp. But she’ll likely be out screwing some other guy within the week.

Immediately after being sworn in, our group was introduced to an NCO that was asking if anyone would be interested in two career paths, other than whatever they’d signed on for...para-rescue, or EOD. I guess they wanted at least that level of commitment, to weed out some folks. I saw very few red berets, usually in airports.

You are out of touch with woke military terminology. There's no such thing as BOQ (although some web sites suggest that the Marines may be lagging on wokeness and some officers may need to be sent to re-education camps) - that's considered sexist these days. Try UOQ or better yet UPH (since the latter doesn't distinguish between officers and enlisted)

It was easy for lezzies and male homosexuals to point the gun of "sexual harassment," an automatic career killer, at the straight male officer's corps, that requires the accused to prove their innocence, rather than the accuser to establish guilt, while at the same time making sure that their enlisted lovers were recruited, installed and favored for promotion.
It's entirely certain that there are now whole cadres of "high speed, low drag" pedophiles on active duty, who protect each other.
