I live in Florida and I don’t see any need for illegals in the workforce here. Perhaps a couple of years ago that could be claimed but not now.

SCREW YOU, WSJ

Illegals can do your editorials too.

ILLEGALS have no right to be here,,,have not gone through the legal channels, yet still expect and have a sizeable contingent of folk support their existence as lawbreakers and their right to have work.

Pay people to do your jobs, employers. Quit breaking the law.

I don’t see any need for illegals in the workforce here.

Especially when the taxpayers make up for the low wages paid by the employer by picking up the check for healthcare, housing, education, and food.

Wait, enforcing an existing(for decades!) federal law is daring? That just shows how far this nation has sunk that actually enforcing laws is daring, cripes I was having to fill out I-9’s on prospective new hires from Nov. 1986 and for the next twelve years till I stopped managing, no valid docs no job. It’s liberals who stopped enforcing the law.

In Panama City Beach there are plenty of workers, just the feds having interfered with their motivations.

Absolutely true. The American economy would completely collapse if illegals were all rounded up and deported. It has become the Left’s modern day slave trade.

We need the cheap labor. We have too much welcome in the U.S. right now. So we have no choice.

Hong Kong is part of China, which has a comprehensive system of residency controls. In the US and Europe, short-term workers can usually stay because they eventually qualify for various residency and immigration permits. And if the Left is in power, the restrictions and limitations on short term workers get waived, no matter what the law says.

In the old days migrant workers would come to pick the crops then they’d go home. Farmers got greedy and decided it was nice to have them year round and have taxpayers pick up the tab for housing and food stamps for the 8 months a year the farmers didn’t need them.

It was a massive rip off.

If toxic and stupid current incentives were switched back EVERYONE could have the best of both worlds.

So slavery is back in vogue? And the WSJ is Ok with that?

That’s what I’m seeing.

All lies.

The Communist used to chant, "The farmers need more pickers" "They work the fields, putting food on your table", and on and on. After a few decades of lawless open borders, millions poured into the LA area and there was not a vegetable field in sight...All lies.

Now it's changed to, "We needs illegal aliens to fill low-wage jobs". Total bull s**t.

This keeps up, this will be the end of America.

And don’t let anyone tell you these foreigners work harder than Americans. All the have to do is enter this country illegally, get a job and they automatically get a 500% raise, and billions are sent back to Mexico annually.

How hard would you work if you showed up at work one day and found you got a 500% raise?
