Perhaps because the KJ version of the Bible was complied after Shakespeare. The compilers not familiar with Hemingway, very likely were familiar Shakespeare.

We have a weekly Bible study with some friends, in which we are going through a little book, called, “Kneeling, We Pray”, written, about a hundred years ago, by a Church of England Vicar. A more Godly and Scripturally accurate book, you would be hard pressed to find. What a shame that a once Godly church has fallen so low. (No slurs about the evil king who founded it; it became a great denomination, in spite of it.)
