Press Briefing by Press Secretary Jen Psaki, February 28, 2022 (cluster bombs are a war crime)
White Hut ^ | 2-28-22 | Jen Psaki

Q Thanks, Jen. There are reports of illegal cluster bombs and vacuum bombs being used by the Russians. If that’s true, what is the next step of this administration? And is there a red line for how much violence will be tolerated against civilians in this manner that’s illegal and potentially a war crime?

MS. PSAKI: It is — it would be. I don’t have any confirmation of that. We have seen the reports. If that were true, it would potentially be a war crime.

Obviously, there are a range of international fora that would assess that. So, certainly, we would look to that to be a part of that conversation.

The Russians dropped lots of cluster bombs in Afghanistan. They were infamous for being picked up by children and killing or amputating limbs.

Things I have heard in the news today: They will be restricted to use only in battle conditions. [The heavily built Russian defensive positions where a lot of soldiers are waiting to fight are the perfect location for cluster bombs.] No use for civilian targets and communities. USA has large quantities of cluster munitions that are getting old. US military thinking is, we might as well use them up for a suitable military situation before their expiration date.

It looks like this will happen, I just hope Ukraine keeps its word on an extensive mine and other explosive ordnance clean-up when the fighting ends, and on keeping good records of exactly where each one was used for follow up disposal of unexploded old bomblets.

This is funnier than hell.

A week or so ago Clarence Thomas used Nanzi Pelosi’s words to shut down Joey’s student loan scam. Now we are hearing Jen Psaki’s words being used against Joey for possible war crimes for supplying cluster munitions.

Who will be the next one whose words Slap Joey the Sniff right up side the head?

Hey Joey looks like you need another sniff. Will it be a little girl or your coke that you dropped?

Ukraine might not get admitted into the EU if it uses such weapons.

Huh? Ukraine has not been admitted to the EU or NATO since their inception as a nation in 1991….for many reasons.

Ukraine launched Tochka-U on train terminal last year.
It flies in a specific pattern with the booster falling behind the warhead.
Originally, they claimed it was an Iskander missile, but then some Italian reported took a picture of the boosters laying southwest from the terminal.
It is worth mentioning that the serials on the boosters matched the batch previously used in Donetsk bombardment.

There is a vet from Florida who has done a lot of demining of civilian areas in Ukraine. Solid guy who puts ass where his mouth is unlike Moscow’s duped fellow travelers in the west.
