General Staff: Russia preparing provocation at occupied Zaporizhzhia nuclear plant

Russia may be preparing a provocation at the occupied Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant "in the near future," the General Staff of Ukraine's Armed Forces reported on July 4.

Russian forces have placed objects similar to explosive devices on the roof of the plant's third and fourth power units, according to the General Staff. "Their detonation should not damage power units but may create a picture of shelling by Ukraine's military."

The General Staff added that it was monitoring the situation, ready to act "under any conditions."

On June 20, President Volodymyr Zelensky announced, citing intelligence data, that Moscow was considering a terrorist attack on the nuclear power plant through radiation leakage.

Several days later, Ukraine's military intelligence chief Kyrylo Budanov told the New Stateman that Russia had completed preparations for the attack.

On July 1, Zelensky told Spanish reporters that another possibility was that Russian troops could give back the station under Ukrainian control after having mined it, only to blow it up remotely.

Neither Ukraine or Russia has anything to gain by blowing this plant.

Going to be like the Nordstream.

USA blows up the plant and, first, blames Russia, and eventually blames Ukraine

Those wacky Russians and their totally counter-intuitive military strategy, courtesy of the main stream media!

They blow up their own pipelines going to Germany - but leave the Ukraine pipelines going through Ukraine territory

They execute Russian speakers in Russian-speaking villages

They shell nuclear plants where their own soldiers are stationed

They blow up a damn they control

Now they are going to blow up a nuclear plant they control and operate - and of course, the Western MSM has known about this for months!

Why would Ukraine lie? To create a false flag that would trigger Article Five and NATO/US intervention.

There is no chance Russia would bomb a nuclear power plant it controls and provides service in a region it has annexed.

The claim as as absurd as claiming the Russians blew up their own oil pipelines.

We're the new evil empire under Biden.

Why would the Ukes lie about this? To help warmongering bastards like these two drag the US into WWIII.

WASHINGTON – U.S. Senators Lindsey Graham (R-South Carolina) and Richard Blumenthal (D-Connecticut) today introduced a resolution to respond to the Russian Federation delivering tactical nuclear weapons to the Republic of Belarus. This is the first time Russia has deployed nuclear warheads beyond its borders since the fall of the Soviet Union, and represents a serious threat to global security in the midst of the war in Ukraine.

Graham and Blumenthal noted their resolution holds that any use of a tactical nuclear weapon by Russia, Belarus or their proxies, or the destruction of a nuclear facility that disperses radioactive contaminants into NATO territory would be viewed as an attack on NATO itself, requiring an Article V response.

If they carry out a false flag attack on the nuclear plant they are more desperate then I thought. The next 10 days should be interesting to watch. The politicians supporting this war gave Ukraine 10 days to show them results. I wouldn't listen to corrupt politicians but that's the position Zelensky put his country in. If Ukrainians take Russian positions how long will they be able to hold them? I guess we will find out pretty soon.

Since the winds will carry any released contaminants eastward into Russia I totally believe that the Russkis will blow up their own reactor. Yep. Right.

Propaganda is harder than most people think.

That is if you consider Ukraine an independent player, which it isn’t.
