Happened to us this year. Our tax return was exactly the same as last year, same address, same bank account, same number of dependents, same income sources but for some reason they decided that to get our less then a hundred dollars back we had to jump through a bunch of hoops.

I get some variant of the “tax refund” scam every day, either on my email, or a robocaller on my phone. They also offer refunds of “utility bill overpayments”.

Joe Bribem has an army of communications experts protecting him, or he would have given up the nuclear football codes by now.
