Those are stupider looking than the Smart Car. It didn’t think that was possible.

I’ve seen a few in my U.S. city. It will be a blessing to those in the third world and will fill a niche need here.

I have an electric trike that I pedal to my local university. I take courses there. Only once in the last semester did I need to drive a car. The trike cost about $5,000.

Can you share your story regarding how you settled there, or is that your birth place?

I'm considering getting out of the US.

I guess you don’t know who was behind the 9/11 attack. I’ll give you a start: It wasn’t the Vietnamese.

Was thinking of an extended vacation a little more than five years ago.

I had lived in China for a while a long time ago (basically when it first opened up), then lived in Taiwan for two years. Then I came back to America and worked at a company for 20 years.

I wanted to travel again, but for some reason I decided to try Vietnam this time. Now people’s experiences with Vietnam are all over the place … some like it, others completely don’t. I was still single, and just decided to go. Now I had some experience in Asia before which have influenced my opinions and choices, but I just tried things out. I decided I would try in Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) at first.

The most noteworthy thing I noticed (immediately), was the weather (VERY HOT ALWAYS, very wet half the year), the people (VERY nice), and the traffic (TERRIBLE). And EVERYONE rides a motorcycle. I had riden a bike for many years in LA. I thought that meant I was experienced … (I completely wasn’t)

I tried an online dating site, and actually met a very nice young lady the first time I tried. Be very careful, lots of guys have different experiences. But my luck was quite good. I am now happily married and living here now.

Be prepared for challenges, like Vietnamese/English (still challenging) and maybe avoid the most common types of people you tend to meet in a city such as this. You can meet someone nice here, but you can also make a BIG mistake. This is the difficult part.

But it is interesting here.

Oh, never lose your temper. 😎

I am not a globalist.

In fact i did some research, right here on this very website.

As far as I could tell, I was exactly the third person to mention the name of Donald Trump, in connection with him being a GOP candidate, on this website.

Before he came down that escalator. In 2015.

Sheesh …

I think A/C is very important here.

At least every time you start it up, you will want to cool down the cabin.

Ok an update:

I have been watching for this since it was announced, about three months ago.

I just saw an article, indicating a revision to the release date, to the end of the year.

Here is a you-tube, in Chinese of the initial version,
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=BLenUt6OSy0

And here is the recent update: (starts with the url)

Six Chinese carmakers, Chery, Wuling, Haima, Haval, Zhidou, and Lynk & Co, are present in the Vietnamese market or announced plans to enter it.

https://e.vnexpress.net/news/business/industries/chinese-automakers-find-vietnam-appealing-4640260.html

…Zhidou displayed its Zhidou A01 at an exhibition in Ho Chi Minh City in mid-May. The Chinese carmaker said it would sell the commercial version of the car from the end of 2023.

Zhidou said it would set up a joint venture in Vietnam to assemble cars, with the logo and brand names customized for the local market.

The company has said it will set up a large charging network throughout Vietnam when it starts selling the A01 model…

So just a bit longer.

😎

Will be very nice to get some more chargers, as well.

Apologies.

That is in Vietnamese. Not Chinese.

🙂
