My only guess on that would be that Linda is highly respected in S.C. He has the MAGA vote, so perhaps Trump is trying to get the voters who support Graham. Perhaps he brought him on to show Graham how much MAGA hates him.
The Base dispises him. South Carolina has an open Primary and Democrats vote for him. That may change.
