I just saw the ruling in favor of the postal guy and working on Sundays. YOWZ!! Sounds like some SCOTUS folks better hire some food tasters.
That one was more about employment contract law than religious freedom, BTW. USPS’ original employment contract with the guy was that he would not have to work Sundays due to his faith but after a while they kept demanding he work ‘mandatory overtime’ on Sundays or be fired. It doesn’t and shouldn’t matter why the contract states that certain days are off, you don’t get to change the terms unilaterally because you want to and that’s what the court (correctly) found.
