People who think the US should be in Ukraine might find some points of reference on which they could agree. If not then the objective person might look at what Ritter says’ and using Biden souced facts, decouple his opinion.
So often Ritter is completely dismissed on FR (the site that used to be mature enough to at least try to understand the other side of an opinion’s understanding of an issue.

Ritter proved he was not credible 20 years ago. What he said Iraq had or did not have depended on who was interviewing him. Let's not forget before the 2003 Iraq War, no one doubted Saddam was violating the ceasefire and sanctions. He was, just not in all the ways US Intel thought he was. Saddam didn't have hidden production, he was hiding R&D. His plan was to restart chemical and nuclear programs after sanctions were lifted.
Ritter was a intelligence and inspections officer. He never lead soldiers into combat. For the past year and a half he has talked way above what his pay grade and experience ever were. Before he reinvented himself as the geopolitical and military expert he never was, he was arrested twice for soliciting minors.
Back to the video, at 3:30 he admits "Russia has yet to define what victory looks like". How is Ukraine's defeat inevitable, if Russia does not have any clear goals? Since Ritter admits this, how can he talk authoritatively as he had since the war began about anything? He can't.
Odessa? Russia has not made one move to take Odessa. Look at a map. The first problem is, they have to get there. Amphibious is out, Russia lacks the sea lift. The Russian army would have to cross the Dnipro again, then cross or get around for large rivers. That's not happening.
Kharkov? Ukraine finished driving Russia back from Kharkov in May - of last year.
He is talking to the gullible who don't know any better. He takes what he gets from pro-invasion sources, superimposes the US military over it to make Russia look good. Then he takes the problems of the Russian military and puts them on the US and NATO.
