Anheuser-Busch DENIES claims it fired two top marketing executives responsible for Bud Light's disastrous Dylan Mulvaney campaign - and maintains pair are on 'leave of absence'

Anheuser-Busch executives have seemingly denied reports the company fired two top marketing executives who were found responsible for Bud Light's disastrous Dylan Mulvaney campaign.
The Daily Caller reported on Tuesday that the beer giant officially fired Group Vice President of Marketing Daniel Blake and Bud Light Marketing Vice President Alissa Heinerscheid, citing text messages with an unknown regional marketing leader at the company.
Blake and Heinerscheid were said to be taking a 'leave of absence' amid backlash for their decision to feature the trans TikToker in a March Madness commercial.
And when approached by DailyMail.com earlier this month, a friend of Heinerscheid's said 'she's not supposed to talk about it, she can't.'
But in a statement to DailyMail.com, a spokesperson for Anheuser-Busch said they were still both on a 'leave of absence.'

I called it.
Time for plain talk: this company’s leadership is appalling.
The honorable thing for them to do now is to continue to waffle and go down with the ship.
Another honorable option is seppuku.
No kidding-I think I remember reading when you did!
To be fair-that isn’t much of a call...it is how they roll.
But-you said it!
So they make a billion $ mistake, and their punishment is indefinite paid vacation? Sign me up! AB has gutless and stupid leadership at the top.
Modelo is eating Bud’s lunch.
The brand took decades to build, and days to destroy.
Wonder when the next shareholder meeting is?
“So they make a billion $ mistake, and their punishment is indefinite paid vacation.”

Similar to ‘accountability’ in the government.
Better be a derivative suit on behalf of all shareholders, make some heads roll on the C level.
Why is the date at the top of the thread July 28?
it is near the end of 2q and the earnings report is due soon
i cant wait
The one single thing they could do that might be viewed positively by angry consumers - and they won’t do it.
You can’t fix stupid.
Earnings call early in July for Q2 earnings report. This whole thing kicked off day one of Q2, so this is where we will see the truth. Considering the stock has only lost about $10 value (and is still up $10 from the 52 week low) in the last 3 months says the losses aren't affecting the company too negatively at this point. Could be why they haven't actually fired the duo yet. They are simply waiting until it eventually blows over, and it will.
What did you call?
I need more popcorn 🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿
Damn, going to be a very interesting stockholder’s meeting.
BUD is down about 15% off its yearly high. The problem for BUD is that sales are still declining, and more importantly, it has alienated a large segment of its formerly loyal customers. The full damage of this epic blunder is yet to be determined.
If I was a shareholder I would be concerned about BUD’s tone deaf (and apparently inept) management. Its going to take some exceptional management to undo the damage, restore the brand’s image and gain back lost market share. Bear in mind the summer (beer drinking) season is already here. Is the talent there turn things around quickly? So far they seemed to have stumbled badly.
There’s a popular dock bar not far from me. Staff say they are not selling any Bud Light. Its just anecdotal, but their sales have cratered badly in some places.
All that said, your statement that they are simply waiting until it eventually blows over is probably true. But the question is how long will that take? And what will happen to cash flow and dividends in the meantime?
