More Americans in a new Gallup poll say they believe that the COVID-19 pandemic is over, though fewer than half of those surveyed said their lives are back to normal.
The survey, published on Wednesday, found that 64 percent of respondents said that the COVID-19 pandemic is over, while 36 percent think otherwise.
In February, 49 percent of respondents said that they believed the once-global pandemic was over.
Along political party lines, 84 percent of Republican respondents in the new poll said that they believe the pandemic is over, as did 65 percent of independents and 51 percent of Democrats.

“The Hill” is just another commie propaganda source and I would have ignored the headline if I had noticed the source.
What 36% of unhinged mental patients still are holding on to Covid? I mean... besides democrats.
The only time I think things are not “back to normal” is when I see the very occasional idiot wearing a mask or go into a store that still has the damnable plexiglass barriers up. Our local Walgreens pharmacy still has them up! I asked the lady at the counter a couple days ago why they still had them up. She shrugged her shoulders and rolled her eyes...that’s all she would say.
36 percent think the pandemic isn’t over?
LMAO
wow, those are all democrats 100% for sure! probably the same ones wearing a loose mask that is so dirty it is brown at the grocery store!
The pandemic of government overreaching endures.
“Covid changed a lot of people for the worst. “
It destroyed a lot of peoples minds. They went insane but they’re still walking around.
It sounds like there are 49% of RATS who are still relying on those Big Covid Bucks the Feddies are dishing out. They don’t want Covid to end.
People are lying at the bottom of a deep cliff, and they’re wondering if things will get better by just staying there. /s
More accurately known “The Shill.”
More seriously, the poll indicated the percentage of the population that are scared of their own shadows. Whatever happened to American rugged individualism.
Those i see wearing masks now are either really old people, black, or really ugly women. I.e. democrats.
Half of everyone never gets back to normal.
They don’t want to and there’s always something.
My daughter’s boss has Covid right now. WA state has not recovered from the prolonged tyrranny of the Covid pandemic. Our governor used the Specual Emergency powers of the pandemic to terrorize the ste state and pass laws that he could not get through, otherwise. One of those laws was a carbon tax, which had been rejected by voters in statewide referendums three times, causing WA State to have the highest gas prices in the country.
The other thing that he did was pass some law, which made CA laws, the rule of law in WA, without a vote from our legislature. We were already a one party state, but now we don’t even have that because CA votes for us. How this can stand, I don’t know. The worst part of this is the refusal to prosecute the law.
The refusal to prosecute the law is already coing back to bite the Leftwing city of Bellingham. The city’s redevelopment project has been brought to a halt because investors are refusing to invest in a lawless city. The idiot voters are shocked, but since they are dominated by Western WA University, they aren’t that interested in the future or redevelopment. They will move on in a few years, anyway.
I agree - it ripped apart families, including my own.
We were told we couldn’t visit immediate family unless we “quarantined ourselves for two weeks first and then took PCR Covid tests and home tests every single day.
My husband slammed down the phone and said “call me when it’s all over.”
Other family members were just as bad - and there may be no healing the rift, unfortunately - many once-joyous holidays were ruined over this for us.
The biggest change, IMO, is all the people now working from home - permanently. My daughter, SIL and son prefer it.
Yeah, we got it double in California - if you’re following California laws up there - our legislature just voted to let the latest gas tax hike go into effect on July 1st - meaning the gas tax will go up a further 8% in a few days - I understand we have the highest prices in the nation right now, we certainly have the highest gas taxes (good luck finding gas under $5.00/gallon around here).
For California - not that it mattered - COVID instigated everyone being sent a ballot - or three like my neighbor got- because it was “too dangerous to go to the polls in person” - furthering vote fraud, there was no accountability. I am convinced that is how Adam Schiff keeps getting re-elected in landslides in my district when everyone I know despises and detests him.
This time CA is following WA State, but you have no choice because your gasoline is refined here in WA and this new carbon tax is applied to all gasoline which is refined in WA, including most of the jet fuel. So, watch for airfares Togo up, too.
WA has the highest gas prices in the country right now. I really don’t know how young people can afford to live here. I have never felt at home here in this land of Leftwing nuts, but it doesn’t seem to bother my husband. We just close our gate and we can’t see another house and no one can see our home. It works. … some day, we might have to add a fence.
Those who were normal prior to the pandemic are normal now after the pandemic. Which explains the low normal numbers for Democrats.
I’m curious: What is your price per gallon of gas?
I haven’t heard about other states passing laws to follow Covid guidelines. However, I’ve heard of states passing laws to enforce CDC guidelines.
