More Americans in a new Gallup poll say they believe that the COVID-19 pandemic is over, though fewer than half of those surveyed said their lives are back to normal.
The survey, published on Wednesday, found that 64 percent of respondents said that the COVID-19 pandemic is over, while 36 percent think otherwise.
In February, 49 percent of respondents said that they believed the once-global pandemic was over.
Along political party lines, 84 percent of Republican respondents in the new poll said that they believe the pandemic is over, as did 65 percent of independents and 51 percent of Democrats.

The only silver lining of C-19 has been curbside pick up. Other than that, the world has gone to hell in a handbasket and shows no signs of ever returning to normal. Can’t wait for the next shoe to drop.
Psychologists warned about the dangers of lockdowns way back in late March of 2020.
It was said lockdowns, which comes from prison terminology, creates a “flight or fight” mentality which is psychologically damaging.
I think that’s why the left loved lockdowns so much, in addition to the disastrous economic consequences.
What is the difference? People are stilling wearing masks in WA State. It drives me crazy when checkers at the stores wear masks and I can’t understand them. The only good thing about that is that I tell them that I can’t understand a word that they are saying when they ask me to donate to something like the Trevor Project.
Not much. I live in blue state metro area and plenty of people still wear masks even though cases are almost non existent.
I think that it was $4.59
I just remembered that CA burns diesel fuel for power in the summer time, instead of natural gas. So, that WA carbon tax will be applied to the cost of electricity, too.
I would die for that price.
It’s difficult to find gas around here for less than $5.00/gallon - this is So Cal.
And it’s about to go up on Saturday.
True...
I live in CA...I still see many Asians wearing masks...
I have some questions for people who still insist on wearing masks...When are you going to stop wearing a mask? Are you going to wear a mask for rest of your life?
Wearing a mask for the rest of your life...That is a depressing thought...
I still see some people wearing masks...But, they often wear masks without covering their noses...Some of them have masks on their chins...
What is the point? If you are not going to wear masks correctly...
People allowed Covid to change their lives for the worst. They did it to themselves.
"California's 30th congressional district is a congressional district in the U.S. state of California. The 30th district takes in the Linda Vista neighborhood of Pasadena, and the Los Angeles area communities of Tujunga, Burbank, Glendale, Hollywood, West Hollywood, Edendale, Park La Brea, Hancock Park, and westside Echo Park. The district is currently represented by Democrat Adam Schiff."

In 30th district, anybody with "D" next to the his/her name on the ballot will win...
West Hollywood...I do not believe that the GOP candidate will get too many votes there...
Burbank and Glendale...Many Armenians live in those cities...But, they vote for Democrats...
Two things I did that I didn't do prior to the pandemic.
1. Wear a mask to doctor appointments.
2. Stopped meeting friends once a month at the casino.
I wouldn't return to the casino until they lifted their mask requirement, so it was at least 1 1/2 years before I went back there. I saved money each month by not going. Didn't have to pay for lunches, and kept the $80 I normally took with me for the slots, in my checking account.
I still traveled by car to visit my kids and my niece and her family, so nothing much really changed for me.
I've been watching the newest season of Storage Wars. I have no idea when they filmed it. It takes place in California, and the dopes are still wearing masks outside.
Last May and again in November, I tested positive for Covid, each time prior to having a medical procedure done. I had no symptoms whatsoever...nada. The only time I got sick last year was when my doctor changed three of my prescriptions within a short period of time, and I ended up with severe adverse reactions from it. It took me over six weeks to return to normal after I stopped taking those meds. Who needs Covid to kill you, when your doctor will do it for you?
They've taken down all the covidiocy in their place. It looks normal now, like it did before all the FedGov induced insanity.
These guys have returned to normal ... anybody who hasn't is really dumb.
To be fair, it became worse under Obama administration. But everything accelerated under Biden. So I just act woke in real life.
"Out of an abundance of caution, and in accordance with CDC guidelines ..."
FedGov may not technically have "mandated" lockdowns, but they sure did "recommend" them.
In 2020.
"Correctly" = take it off your face and shove it up the nearest covidiot's ... uh ... nose.
Yeah.
Nose.
Yes but you gave up one of life's pleasures, and being with friends, all good for the body and soul. So it's well worth the $80/month. At least, that's how I rationalize my golf league and meals following :)
I stopped wearing a mask. However, my wife still wears one. We're just south of San Francisco, and noticed barriers have been removed at many restaurants and stores where you deal with clerks. Plus mask signs have been removed at stores. I get no questions about masks despite not wearing one at stores that still have the mask sign up.
We're seniors. My wife is a multiple cancer survivor, and has little immunity due to numerous chemo and radiation treatments. Can't blame her for wanting to avoid others' germs. Next door neighbor died last week from various ailments, most likely due to covid or covid vaccinations. He was healthy a year ago and doctors couldn't explain his strokes and organ failures; his illness further made my wife worry about getting infected. Fear plays a factor in people continuing to wear a mask.
