A train derailment was reported Saturday in Montana near Columbus.

The train reportedly went off its rails and into the Yellowstone River amid a bridge collapse, according to local outlets.

"I’m monitoring the train derailment in Stillwater County, and the state is standing by to support as Montana Rail Link and county officials assess their needs," Montana Gov. Greg Gianforte wrote on social media Saturday just before noon.

If it collapsed when the train first hit it there would be locomotives in the water, not tank cars..

That wasn’t a bridge collapse, they are just launching the rail cars for Biden’s new Pacific/Indian Ocean Railway. Buttmaster just haven’t worked out how to float themto the coast yet.

On the map there are only 2 piers.

Oh, ok thanks.
I was only going by the photo above, assuming a design symmetry based on the other two piers/spans.

“What I need is something so scary it’ll clear three hundred square miles of every living Christian soul.”

Send a letter to Steven Spielberg and ask him about Close Encounters. Then rent all the piggly wiggly trucks you can find and park them at ground zero. That should clear the area.

Is that sulfur on those cars in the river?

Maybe it's yellowcake.

I’ve said this ad nauseum over the years, since I first read that book (her atheism aside), Ayn Rand was prescient as it relates to our society as a whole. Having lived through Soviet Communism, the signs were all there for her to see.

Having briefly visited east Berlin on a tour as a 14 yr old in 1962 showed me all I needed to know. Sadly, a lot of young folks today have ZERO clue. WW II wasn’t that long ago in the overall scheme of things.

It looks like sulphur and there are two refineries which produce sulphur near Billings.

If it is sulphur it will solidify and not cause damage.

That makes sense. πŸ™‚ I was just hedging my bet. πŸ™‚

Bottom line is it didn't derail as the headline said. It was a quick response, without much thought beyond the fact that it wasn't a derailment situation. πŸ™‚

Train derailments (terrorist sabotage) are happening on a monthly basis.

The Mooselimbs have been on a tear hitting our rail lines on a constant basis.
