Not according to what I’m hearing. They have closed off the city of Rostov, but, obviously, supply lines don’t go through heavily populated cities.

There will be PLENTY of bucks needed, since the war that the Neocons caused will likely cost $1T to rebuild, particularly if Ukraine does win.
But yes, I would be happy if a Ukrainian victory winds up meaning the end of having nuclear weapons on hair-trigger alert. I don’t have a dog in this fight, just want it to end without escalating to World War 3 (unlike the Neocons).

I hope you are joking. Who do you think will rebuild the Ukraine? The same “contractors” who drained our treasury in the “War on Terror” are licking their chops at the thought of rebuilding the Ukraine and all those politicians in DC are missing the bribes, er donations, that those same beltway bandits showered upon them for contracts in the sandbox.
My kids are already paying for this mess AND to replace all of our weapon stocks we are giving them. I believe my kids are even paying pensions for Ukrainian government employees because their economy is non-existent.
Half the Ukraine has fled and most are unlikely to return, there are very few women left in the country and males in prime ages for reproduction have been slaughtered, the infrastructure is heavily damaged, and the hatred on both sides of an already divided nation is legion. They were already below replacement birthrate before the conflict. “Russia” has the same problem. These are dying nations.
Our corruptocrats want to tie our military to the most corrupt nation in Europe on the border with Russia with white hot hatred on both sides. Does Ukraine belonging to NATO make my kids safer? I cannot see how the answer to that is “yes”.
Let’s look at Russia. Absent a civil war, Putin or the next leader will not be stronger after this conflict and their massive stockpile of nuclear weapons will be LESS secure.
An “unintended consequence” would be nuclear weapons being sold to Iran or some other messed up nation state or well-financed terror group who will use them.
I won’t cry for Putin if he takes a dirt nap if that is how this washes out, but I pray the next guy (or guys) secures the nukes or this neocon dream will turn into a real nightmare for the rest of us.
