‘Those behind the mutiny will pay’: Vladimir Putin’s 24 June 2023 statement in full
The Guardian ^ | 24 June 2023

Posted on 06/24/2023 8:08:21 AM PDT by Cronos

...“I spoke to the commanders in all directions last night. I appeal also to those who were deceptively pulled into the criminal adventure, pushed towards a serious crime of an armed mutiny.

“Russia today is leading the most difficult war for its future, repelling the aggression of neo-Nazis and their handlers. Against us, the whole military, economical and information machines of the west are turned. We fight for the lives and security of our people. For our sovereignty and independence. The right to remain Russia, a state with 1,000 years of history

...What we’re facing is exactly internal betrayal. Extraordinary ambitions and personal interests led to treason

...Repeat: any internal mutiny is a deadly threat to our state, to us as a nation. It’s a strike against our nation, our people. And our actions to defend the fatherland from such a threat will be brutal. Anyone who consciously went on the path of betrayal, who prepared the armed mutiny, went on the path of blackmail and terrorist actions, will take an inevitable punishment. They will answer to the law and our people.

“The armed forces and other departments were properly instructed. Extra anti-terrorist measures are now being implemented in Moscow, Moscow region, and a number of other regions. Decisive actions will be taken to stabilise the situation in Rostov-on-Don.

“It remains difficult. The operation of civilian and military control departments is practically blocked

His estimated net worth of $400 billion is not going to do him much good, because there is no place he could really go.

Some have said that about Trump.

Ain’t that something? Biden never had control, but will remain safe and sound. Politics is peculiar.

Here is a wise statement:

“[Putin] eventually barricades himself in the Moscow region from those whom he himself armed.
For a long time, Russia used propaganda to mask its weakness and the stupidity of its government. And now there is so much chaos that no lie can hide it.
And all this is one person, who again and again warns about the year 1917, although he is not able to lead to anything else.”

- Zelensky

Suck on it Russian propagandists. Those who stood up to you are proud.
Russia’s weakness is obvious. Full-scale weakness

Putin has a getaway fortress on the sea, with an underground complex and an escape tunnel to air and water transportation. Some say he’s already left Moscow.

Guess China “chose poorly” on that military alliance with Putin.

Did Douglas MacGregor hang himself yet?

Russia is fighting a country Russia almost starved into oblivion. Millions and millions of Ukrainians were starved to death by Stalin and his minions.

Honestly it’s really funny watching the Ukrainian side instantly pivot from “Wagner was destroyed with mass casualties in Bakhmut” to “Wagner is powerful enough to topple the Russian state.”

As explained to me by a very wise retired officer, Putin had hollowed out Russia by eliminating the leadership class in order to protect himself. Prigozhin only started out with 25,000 troops but this is how weak Putin left Russia.

May it be so!

The time for a full scale Ukraine offensive is now. They should muster everything they have, and throw it at the Russian lines.

"deceptively pulled into the criminal adventure, pushed towards a serious crime of an armed mutiny."

Right. You know what a swell guy "Puts" has always been. He will certainly forgive the poor guys who tricked into mutiny. No, they will not be mistreated, executed tortured, imprisoned or abused in any way. You have his word. Of course, he will butcher every last member of your family down to last infant.

On the contrary, China is watching and waiting...and smiling. Siberia will fall into their hands, soon enough.

I cannot refute the irony of what you said, but I am sad for all parties in this ridiculous conflict and if there were justice all those who promoted this insane conflict would be sacrificed instead of hundreds of thousands of poor SOB’s who have no true stake in the outcome.

However, first and foremost, I am concerned that we are engaged in a new conflict with the other nuclear superpower AND if there is widespread instability in the Russian Federation my first hope is that the nuclear weapons are secured.

People have little clue about how/why we should be concerned about Russian nukes because the same people who told us 30 years ago that the world would burn up, social distancing and masks would stop Covid, and it’s healthy for toddlers to listen to teachers and change their gender have told us we have nothing to worry about.

Yes, mutually assured destruction works for nation states, but one greedy bastard and one 3rd world despot who hates both Russia and the US and our world can change very quickly.
